Incoming: Tudor BB58 Taupe

My AD got one in today so I ran down to check it out. Only took about 10 seconds to decide on this one. Absolutely amazing in person. The taupe, to me, is a perfect shade...brownish gray (but not too brown). And the silver case is really something. Had a long discussion with the boutique manager too about the silver alloy and how it shouldn’t tarnish.

I also have the BB58 blue but gave it to my wife when I picked this one up. Could never get the bracelet to fit right without availability of a half link.

I think Tudor absolutely NAILED this one.

I think it’s one of their top 3 bbs

We did a thread years ago on whether sterling could work for modern watches. Now we know.

Congratulations

Congratulation! This is a nice looking watch, plus I like the idea of color matching with Nato strap.

Really cool piece.

Do you have any stainless watches that you can put side by side with the Taupe BB58? Really interested to see the differences between the silver and stainless.

I’ll take a pic next to my SS BB58 later tonight.

How is it with the nato strap? I'm of the opinion that PM shouldnt be worn with nato and rubber is even pushing it.

I love it on the nato. I have the BB58 blue on the bracelet and it doesn’t fit me well (no half link available) so I love it on this nato. And, at this price point, I don’t really consider it PM the same as others.

Separately, I love watches on rubber, including PM. I have a Rolex 116519LN on oysterflex and it’s probably my favorite watch.

Thanks all. Loving this one. I’ll post more pics as well. I would encourage anyone considering this one to go see it in the metal.

Well on the nato it doesn’t really matter as you can’t see it anyways

And that wasn’t meant in a disparaging way toward you. More towards the silliness of putting a see through case back in it and then a nato strap where you can’t even see it.

Is it noticeably heavier than a regular BB58?

Don’t think so. But it’s sort of hard to compare as one is on nato and one on bracelet.

I told my AD I'd want one on the leather strap but honestly I'm not into either strap for this watch. What I'm thinking about is using the BB58 blue soft touch strap for this, think blue and taupe is a cool combo. Any other thoughts for straps?

Not sure to be honest as I really like the fabric strap that’s on mine.

Personally I think it has to be this
