Rolex RSC Add-Ons
Hi All
I just sent my 11613 and 116233 to RSC for a 10 year service...mostly cleaning/relubing etc.....nothing is wrong with either (that I noticed). The assessments came back and they claim the clasp was broken on my Sub and the crown was worn on the Datejust (needs to be replaced). I suppose I could have missed the broken clasp (although I don't know how) but, even though my DJ was purchased (brand new) in 2009, I may have only worn it 50 times (days) since I bought it. I never even thought to look at the crown and can't believe it could be worn down. I just had my 11618 serviced by same RSC a few months ago...it was on my wrist MUCH more and the service cost less than either the 11613 or DJ are going to cost. Is this just as easy thing for them to add to an assessment? I didn't take any photos or video prior to sending it in. I guess I should have. I'm in no position to argue but it seems "weird".

RSC has my 11610. I didn't notice any crown damage/wear on mine when I sent it in, but "replace crown" is listed as a necessary service. It's "only" $46.00, so I'm not quibbling.

Most add ons are optional.
They always want to change my perfect crystals as well. I let them, only a few bucks, if that bit of petty theft makes them happy

Sounds like those add-ons are required for them to do the service or are some of them optional ?

On my quote form it is headed "MANDATORY SERVICE/PARTS(S)" (my bold). Doesn't sound like much of an option
