Sub isn’t flashy at all compared to many Rolex models. A Datejust with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet is a lot more flashy in the office than the Sub, and then the solid gold models are even more flashy. The rainbow Daytona is flashy; I agree with that.

But what are your thoughts on it’s flashiness? I mean, the 32XX is under the dial, and all Rolex have solid casebacks, so it’s about the same flashy-wise as a 31XX or even a 4130.

I was at an outdoor winery 2 weeks ago and a gentleman walked up to me and said "me and my wife could not help but notice how your watch sparkled and reflected light what brand is it?" The guy came from at least 15 yards from me, the fluted bezel does really sparkle in the right light. when I go from my EXP2 polar to the Skydweller it does take a while to get use to the bling, LOL!!!

For bling size matters. Gold sky-d with rhodium or other iridescent dial. YG YMII is right up there too.

I'm going to approach this analytically. The aspects that contribute to flashiness in my view are (a) contrast, (b) reflection. These are the components a shark would use to identify a fish in the dark sea, and also are the aspects that would show the world what's on your wrist from a mile away.

So then, anything with diamonds is automatically flashy because the reflective index of diamond is about 2x that of a pure mirror, likely even more times reflective than a polished gold or steel surface.

Polished surfaces are more flashy than brushed surfaces or rubber/nylon strap material regardless of color or pattern because they reflect more, allowing them to be seen from further away.

Rounded surface bracelets (jubilee, president) are more flashy than flat surface (oyster) bracelets because the rounded edge allows light to more consistently reflect to the viewers eye. By the same token, greater surface area bezels (fluted) are more flashy than flat polished bezels, which are more flashy than ceramic.

High contrast between dial/bezel and watch material is also important. Yellow gold/Black has a contrast ratio that is about 2x higher than yellow gold/blue, and even the leopard daytona colors of orange/black does not have as much contrast as yellow gold/black.

With all that in mind, there are many flashy Rolex, but my argument for the most flashy standard production Rolex are:
1) Yellow Gold daydate, black diamond dial.
2) Two Tone DJ with jubilee, black diamond dial.
3) Yellow Gold Sky Dweller, black dial
4) Yellow gold daytona, black diamond dial.

Now, that may vary as you start added diamond bezels, diamond bracelets, patterned dials, and of course your own skin tone and what your environment is. Wear a leopard daytona in a south asian jungle and it will blend right in - Tigers are bold appearing to our eye, but invisible in their own environment. Wear it in the board room against a charcoal suit and well, people will notice lol.
