Patek at European Watch Company
Seems like folks have had mixed experiences with this seller, but not authenticity issues, and the watch looks good to my untrained eyes. Any thoughts?
https://www.europeanwatch.com/watch/...old-36956.html What throws me off a little (though I’m far from being an expert) is the lack of writing on the movement. Other examples of this caliber have more markings, no? Assuming that’s not a concern, any other issues people see? |

It looks fine, the pic with it on the side looks like you can see all the writing because the rotor is not blocking it....

I have dealt with them before specifically a SA named Mike. Transaction was high value no issue same day turn over. Would not hesitate to do business with them.

Gathering from the comments here (and others elsewhere on the forum) that I would not need to have authenticity concerns with this seller—?

No worries with EWC. They have a great store. I’ve bought Rolexes from them. No issues. They service them too (and open them up) so they know what a fake looks like. Not sure what the mixed reviews you referenced are - never heard of anyone having an issue with them. Certainly not a serious issue like a fake. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Really nice shop, great folks. I worked with Philip and he was fantastic.
Tried on a few different Rolex references, they didn't have the specific one I wanted in stock but I will definitely go back to the shop again in the future. |

In the end it was maybe two or three reviews among hundreds, and the issues were (as you suggest) not to do with authenticity. More like an item was slightly misrepresented (according to the buyer) and (here at TRF) someone noticed they listed a watch that he had returned to them because it want functioning 100% but they clearly hadn’t serviced it yet. (The latter was eventually chalked up to a misunderstanding.) I didn’t end up buying from them, but had only excellent communication there and wouldn’t hesitate to do so in the future.
