Yellow gold vs everose gold

Hello,

I was looking at the pros and cons of Rolex yellow gold vs everose gold.
I've heard that rose gold in general is more durable than both yellow and white gold due to the copper in the metal.

Are there any pros and cons to either yellow or everose gold?

Thanks!

There are no pros and cons to either. Just preferences

Funny...was looking at a rose gold YM on my laptop the other day and heard an "ew" from across the couch...apparently rose gold is out according to the fairer sex.

I'm too pale for either YG or RG anyway...SS or bust.

you don't have to be tan to wear gold, there's no skin tone where neither yg nor rg doesn't fit. and regardless, it shouldn't matter if you like the watch

Con is you’re more likely to get robbed with yellow or rose gold over ss or white gold.

Rolex certainly seems to treat this as a fact - Idk about Everose nor current models, but for many years yellow gold President hidden clasp bracelets were fitted with rose gold clasps.

It is all preference. In the jewelry world, rose gold is known for being softer, but with Rolex and their own manufacturing not sure that holds true.

For me, I choose certain type of gold based on the combination with the dial.

Rose Gold for Day-Date with Olive dial.

Yellow Gold for Daytona with Green dial.

White Gold for GMT Pepsi with Meteorite dial.

Definitely agree with this. It depends on the watch and the watch combo.

...

But overall, YG vs. RG vs. WG is just your preference in tones. RG usually sits in the middle where it's not completely subtle like WG but also not loud like YG. RG is popular these days for this main reason.

WG/Pt is overall more popular because of the low-key look, while YG was formally the go to favorite to publicly show wealth. Who knows what the next fashion trend would be. RG should always remain in the middle.

Rolex rose is very red which to me is a con. May tire of it quickly.

I would think that YG will be in more demand 15 years from now. RG seems more of a fashion tone.

I personally like yellow gold, but there isn't a real functional difference anybody is going to notice.

By the way, on the two Daytona watches, it's refreshing to see that the person who posted this picture actually wears their watches. Good for you. I feel bad for watches that are babied in protective wraps and tape. They are both beautiful watches.

Thanks - I actually had the rose Daytona polished about a year ago as I had wore it for 3 years daily, it was battered! The yellow and green... most people would keep it in the safe but I bought it before the John Mayer hype and it deserves to be worn!

Here’s another picture of my rose watches... apparently the DD2 is a different rose gold colour? Does anyone know more about this?

Between those 2, it's YG for me. I just think it matches better with the dial color vs the RG.

YG is very bright. RG is still bright but a bit more toned down. They are both beautiful, depends on how much you want the watch to "pop"

During the gold rush of 1849 in the wild west days of the US, rose or white gold were never found, just yellow gold. Don't ask my point, I do not have one...

Rose gold is a little less flashy and considered by many to be the more "modern" choice of the two. Really just comes down to personal preference

I agree with this and prefer the rose gold, but the yellow gold watches are beautiful, too. I thingpk that rose gold is more rare to see out in the world so I guess that means I am in the minority in preferring the Everose gold.

I love the rose gold had a couple of nice datejusts in TT, was never really a fan of the yellow until I got the new Bluesey the yellow gold with the blue dial are a perfect combination IMO. Never owned a PM piece but if I did it would be rose gold or white gold depending on dial colour.
