Hello from Ireland
Hello,
I have been reading the forum for a long time. Decided to join as it has been enjoying to read the posts on here and a bit rude not to join the club! I have learnt a lot about the different types of Rolex watches and their history. I don't own a Rolex yet but I have previously bought one for my other half. I am on the hunt for an Explorer I. I have not enjoyed the whole experience of dealing with the local Rolex dealer but at least I have been added to their waiting list. Anyways pleased to meet you all |

If anyone has any tips or advice on how to go about buying an Explorer from an AD or where would be the best place to purchase one in Europe it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Irish week in th Forums?
Hello Bart. I'm originally from Northern Ireland, but have lived here in the US for many years. Nonetheless, it is a nice coincidence to have two Irishmen joining the Rolex Forums around the same time. It can't help you with the AD info you are looking for, but if there is something of interest to you here in the US, I'm would be happy to try to help.

Thank you all for the welcome folks
Cheers Caubeen! You are a lucky duck living in the US. Lots of choice of Rolexs over there! Thanks a million for the offer |

I finally pulled the trigger.
I really wanted the date feature and instead of going for an Explorer I, I went for a 34mm OP Date. I had tried on two datejusts in the AD and found the salesperson very snotty to deal with so I went grey and picked up the 34mm at a good price. I have always liked the OP Date. I prefer the 34mm over the 36mm as it is a very practical size and more under the radar for me personally. A more classic size. Apologies for the picture quality and the lack of bracelet. Have been wearing it on a modified Apple Watch leather strap! Thank you to everyone who helped me out with my questions. The forum is a great resource for information! |

Hi, Bart ! Welcome. According to Ancestry, I am about 40% Irish. Lovely new watch. You should do an incoming post in the regular Rolex general topic forum, so people will see it. This section is just for introductions. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
