Day-date 18238 minimum wrist size?
Hi all,
I am looking to buy a day date (18238) for my wife. She has a very small (5.5 inches) and rather flat wrist. Would that presidential bracelet fit her? Hoping someone here can confirm. If the 18238 is not an option, we would consider a newer DJ36 on jubilee. I assume bracelets from the newer references should fit her wrists no probs (my Sub fits her fine), but it would be great to get a confirmation for this too. Thanks. |

Am not sure how many links you can remove on the president bracelet to fit your wife 5.5 inch wrist, but if by removing all of them is still big you can always ask a competent watchmen to make it smaller by taking out fixed links. People like Rolliworks, LAWW, Rik Dietel etc. can do that for you. Same applies on a DJ bracelet (either oyster or jubilee) is results being too big for her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

My wife has a similar sized wrist, flat, petite. She wears her gold/champagne 18238 every day. She removes 4 links to fit. I put them back in when I wear it. Works great, have no worries. Looks fantastic on a girl as well.

It turns out the 8385 bracelet was still too big for my wife's 5.5'' wrist even with all removable links removed. (For reference, it's a snug fit for my 6.5'' wrist with 1 removable link added.) We took it to RSC for a service and will be getting one permanent link removed for her wrist.
Hope this can help the next person that runs into this question. |

Still relevant 1.5 years later! I just had the same question. The 8385 President bracelet does not size down as much as the oyster, jubilee, or super jubilees on my 116610LN, 116254, 16233, or 16710. In simple terms, it’s a larger than normal bracelet.
