AD can get me SS Daytona...

...but wants me to bundle with Cartier or/and JLC. Something in the range of 5-10k (probably closer to 10k). So obviously thinking of buying a Cartier/JLC and sell it off but definitely taking some losses there. Any suggestions on what model that makes sense for me to get which also minimise my losses?

(I’ve a purchase history albeit not big)

Only $5-10k additional spend for a SS Daytona and it can be on Cartier/JLC? I would do that in a heartbeat! Lots of good options between the 2 brands that you may even end up keeping the bundled watches. If you must sell, you probably minimize your losses with a Santos or Reverso.

Get a nice ss reverso but keep it. You will loose to much trying to sell it. Daytona at retail and a cool reverso, not a bad deal at all.

Normally not a fan of bundling. But this sounds like a good deal.

I like the large Santos. Several strap options included.

Thanks all! I’ve a purchase history so obviously not the ‘normal’ bundling where you need to buy DD, full on diamonds etc.

Have no use for the other piece unfortunately! So will explore Santos or Reverso as some of you have suggested.

A SS Reverso would be neat to own. A great offer.

Kinda this. FWIW I'd be all over a Santos + Daytona at retail. But I'd sell the Daytona...

When i start wearing adult clothes in public again, i need to try one on. I don’t think they pair well with lululemon shorts and a tshirt.

Do you really want to spend $25K on a watch?

Unless you plan to flip it, think it through.

Could be worth it. Negotiate with the AD. Both JLC and Cartier have awful resale values. Does he sell Omega? If so, Tell him you’ll pick up an Omega Speedmaster 3861 - that’s about $6k MSRP. That’s a great piece and would be easiest to sell down the road. But don’t be surprised if you find the Speedy more legible and with an easier chrono to operate than your Daytona.

Cartier Santos medium or large depending on your wrist size. A beautiful and historic model!

Yea, wondering if he has any other brands to buy from or not. I’d even buy a Tudor to bundle. If they have Cartier, which is a tough brand to have for a store, then I’d assume several others.
