New arnie?

Seiko seems to love anniversaries and it occurs to me that the original h558 came out in 82 I think. That would make next year the 40th anniversary for that watch.
Do folks see seiko commemorating that one with a limited version (hopefully a bit smaller similar to the original)? I mean at the time the ani-digi was ground breaking and seems to deserving of some kind of commemoration?

Sure, why not? They put a lot of models out for anniversary's why not the Arnie. I would like to see it in some fun colors like blue or red.

Rumor is moving lcd to 6 oclock, adding depth meter, on bracelet.

hopefully they fix the amazingly annoying feature of the light not working during chronograph use.

Not sure how I would feel about that, as its not the arnie then. I use my Chronograph, often as part of my job in fact, but have never needed to use it in poor lighting conditions so not a giant deal for me. I like the solar idea, but if that's the reason for the thickness I would rather have an old school battery operated quartz. My H558 is thinner, eases under the sleeves very nicely and looks less chunky as a result. The new arnies look more gshock in appearence (though consistent with their other Tuna cousins).

I would like to see the anniversary model come with the orange dial perhaps.

I too am hoping for orange.... or yellow or teal. On WuS somewhere you can find the reference #s. There is 3 of them. I don't think Seiko will ever do a non solar quartz again.
