One watch to add and one watch to sell
Hello,
Ignoring the Ball, what watch would you eliminate and what watch would you add to this collection and why? Pretty happy overall with the collection but feel like some change over the next several months is in order. Cheers! |

I would say bye bye Breitling! It is visually very chunky for my tastes.
I would add a JLC Polaris, possibly the Polaris Mariner. Similar to the Ball but a big step upwards in refinement/quality/finishing (and price) |

Ditch the Breitling. Add a DJ that’s to your liking.

Seems like you are lacking a dress watch. So I’d say ditch the Breitling and get a JLC MUT moon. Or if a diver is what you need, then the JLC Polaris.

I'm in the minority here. I would say keep the Breitling as it is vastly different from the others and it has a relatively poor resale value. If I was in your shoes, I'd have the Sea Master and Tudor heading out for a 41mm Datejust with a fluted bezel (and eventually a Sub C.)

as much as i love the 58, i would probably replace that with a DJ/color OP or perhaps a dressier piece like a JLC master control or reverso.

I would replace the Brietling for a new Brietling duograph. Or maybe Datora (salmon). Don’t fall for the trap of getting a Rolex for the sake of it being Rolex. You already have two awesome ones and IMO I love the diversity you have.

Maybe dump one of the bottom two Omegas, and add the Black Bay Ceramic Tudor, or the BB 58 Tudor Blue.

Breitling would have to go for me. You already have a speedy chrono. I would add a blue SkyD or a green sub for some color pop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If it’s just one you’ll get rid of, I’d suggest the BB58. Yes the top row is the least hype or current vogue, but the Breitling and Ball add some variation and quirk.
The Tudor is kind of redundant with the SM300 as far as dive watches go, and the SM300 is superior unless you’re worried about a smaller fit. Sell the Tudor and get whatever your budget allows. GS Fall Seasons, IWC Spitifre chrono, Mark XVIII, used Breguet Type XX comes to mind within a similar, albeit more expensive, budget. |

You can get BB58’s all day (where I live) at the AD. You can probably sell it and if you had to buy it back it’d be a small-ish loss. On the other hand, I just sold a watch I was on the fence about selling. Put the post up, took it down, etc… Finally sold it and have no regrets that it’s gone. Only you can know if it was a good idea, and only after the decision has been made. |

I'd take the huge profit on the pepsi and buy a nice pm dress watch, preferably a Patek Philippe Calatrava 5227
