21 Today

My SeaDweller is 21 today! How time flies.

I was on vacation in the south of France. I owned a Sub at the time, but really wanted a SD. I called every AD that I did not manage to visit, from St Tropez to Monaco without success. I eventually gave up and got on with enjoying the vacation.

Then, as I was on my way home, at the airport, there it was. Just sitting in the case calling to me :-).

The SD was not the only lucky event that happened to me on that vacation. My son will be 21 this coming March (you do the math). Guess what he will be getting for his Birthday?

Great story and what an amazing birthday gift this will be! Wow.
I have a story that relates to yours.
In that same year and same month I was at Paris CDG airport buying a luxury watch too. An SD and a sub were on the tray along with a Cartier Pasha, the SA almost begged me to pick one of Rolex’s divers but I took the Cartier. Big horological mistake:-)

Great story.

Out of interest can you give a brief history of your experience:-

How much you have worn it through the years, any issues, any services, etc

My maths was never great but I think I get the idea

Thanks for the positive comments. I have worn it pretty much every day since. Serviced twice, once by Rolex in the UK, and once by Rolex here in the US. Last service was last summer. No issues at all.

I am guessing with the fabulous luck you had he will be getting the Comex watch that you get on your trip back to the south of france straight away.

With your luck anything might happen.

Lucky young man and great events. Congratulations to him.
