The Return of Rolesor

Everywhere these days seems like Rolex two
Tone is have a resurgence. I prefer SS overall
But having a little gold in the collection is a nice change.

Let’s see them.

Here’s my 124273.

I agree, a little gold in the collection is always a good move. Congrats on a great watch.

Yes it was a hair. Didn’t notice until after the fact but it does look like a little scratch.

TT is very very very popular now. Especially with the younger crowd.

Even moreso than SS I feel. Its really coming back bigtime. Even thinking of adding another one myself next week actually.

Probably a CHNR to be honest. I'm bored in lockdown in Sydney and spending way way too much time online looking at watches. LOL

OR the TT RG Yacht master with chocolate dial has caught my eye.

Hope to see it on your wrist. Lockdown expanded my collection severely last year

I find TT really adds fun to a SS collection. In fact, one could skip SS altogether and go for TT from the start. It all depends if you like a bit of gold on your wrist, if you enjoy that SS/gold mix. It's a personal thing.

I bought my 116613lb, aka "bluesy", in 2018. It was my 1st Rolex, or more precisely the 1st I bought for my own enjoyment.

I found the classic 116610 too common, and too boring, with the black/steel colors. A nice piece but not too exciting.

At that time (a few years back only), two tones Rolex watches were not very popular, and didn't have much street creds in forums. 2nd hand price was also lower than MSRP (for the bluesy at least).

But to me, the 116613LB was a much better looking watch. The gold and deep blue color scheme was like summer, sea and sun. It also feels like a fun (2nd degree) interpretation of a popular (serious) recipe: the black diving watch. And you can dive with it. I do. In the pool.

So I started hunting for this watch... It was already not so easy to find it on display :) Not in Singapore at least. I was lucky to spot one in Amsterdam Shiphol airport. The lady SA said they receive those occasionaly, and they get sold very quickly within a few hours. I picked mine.

This bluesy has been my daily since then. It collected some memorable scares of course, which worried me a lot initially. I do see more people (including youngsters) wearing this kind of watches nowadays.

I love Rolesor. Own both the CHNR and new Bluesy.

Here is my TT SD43. Didn't think I was a Rolesor fan, until I saw this on my wrist. Just gorgeous.
The Bluesy is another beauty.
