BLRO bezel
Would you be able to send your blro back to rolex for a different mk bezel? I have seen the new models with both the mk2 and mk3 bezel.

This seems like a good approach. Damage the existing bezel and send in for a replacement. Might want to wait another year or so until all the original pink & blurple bezels are out of RAC stock.

Don't see why not, if you've got an early model and want a newer bezel. Probably not possible to get an 'old' one.
Have you asked your nearest RSC? |

No such thing as Mk bezels as all the Mk stuff only exists in internet land, a BLRO insert is a two colour red/blue insert nothing more.

Nothing more? Though it may exist only in “internet land”, I think we all know what the OP is suggesting. There exists inconsistencies in the colors of the BLROs. I for one prefer what has been referred to as the MK1 because the later bezels look way too dark are dull. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This. The only differences that people see are the reflected light in the various positions or angles and different lighting making it look a bit different. The reality is, they lay the blue over the red and until that practice stops will always be off.

Like firing most ceramic items especially when the colours red/blue are used batch to batch there could be slight colour variations.

Indeed, and given that likely futile to track them as we may well be up to a Mark 73 1/3rd bezel at some point lol. I know my brother had the BLNR and that blue could look as deep blue as the sea in some light and then a slight turn and it looked completely silver making it very difficult to actually compare in pictures. If you break or damage your existing bezel you'd get the newest bezel. Granted you will have to pay for the replacement.

As others have said, damaging your existing one would be the "best" way to get a new bezel insert - just put a big ol' scratch on it with a diamond ring or something -, but I also think Rolex might change it for you anyway... at a price.
The reason I say that is that you aren't changing anything about the original configuration of your watch. In other words you aren't trying to change a BLRO to a BLNR for example. Also the fact that Rolex don't formally acknowledge that they've amended the BLRO colours over time (which they clearly have) would probably work in your favour. Think about it - if you went to Rolex and said, "I want to replace the handset with a new set of identical hands", they'd probably shrug their shoulders and say, "Fine sir, it's your money". The bezel is the same as you're swapping a BLRO bezel.... for a BLRO bezel. They'll just charge you full price for it, and yes you will get the latest colour. Worth a call to RSC. |

If RSC were to replace your bezel you’d get whatever they have in stock. Based on recent incomings, the bezels look more like the ones on first release, so you might not be happy |

But OK fine, I concede that if you ask for a replacement you will get whatever one they have in stock. I made an assumption that since Rolex have adjusted the colour slightly, then they would be more likely to provide the latest version, but of course that may be incorrect. So yes OP, you may get a newer darker one or you may get an older more pastel one. Glad that's cleared up. |

You could dismount your bezel, keep it, take your watch to the RSC claiming you lost the bezel and ask them for a new one. They'll charge you of course.

Take it to RSC and ask the question. They won’t admit differing colour tones exist but you can pay your money and take your chance. That’s what I would do.

When I brought my BLRO in for a defect fix, the person helping me acknowledged my 2021 bezel and said she prefers the darker colours to the more pastel/brighter earlier examples. Most people I have spoken to, AD or RSC, have not denied the existence of progressively darker bezels since release.

It cracks me up how these threads unfortunately always degenerate into an argument over whether there is any actual difference in colour over time, or whether it’s all just down to lighting and people’s eyesight. (Funnily enough though this never happens with the LV or BLNR bezels, but never mind…)
No hearts or minds are going to be changed here folks! I’m moving along. |

I think the simple answer is yes, which is all the OP wanted to know.
The tricky part is, as others have suggested, is that you'll have no control over what "shading" of blue and red you'll end up with.

Without a definitive control experiment where we use science instead of Chinese made phones with dirty lenses and random K lights, it will be impossible to know for sure what the truth is.
However, should Rolex have fine tuned it’s color formula, or somehow allow for some variance (doubt) in the results, I truly believe that this fixation over your colored bezel is the 1% of the 1% first world problem. You have one of the most difficult watch to obtain from Rolex line up. Don’t you know you should count your blessings instead of looking at your horse’s mouth? Enjoy your watch and stop being obsessed with these minute color variations. |

Perhaps call Rolex and ask?

I know I said I was moving on from this one, but just thought it’s worth a look at post #147 on the linked thread - https://www.rolexforums.com/showthre...=680181&page=5
Bas posted in 2019 (and I quote) - “If you take a pic they say it's the lighting. Those who do not want to believe will only change their mind once they've seen both together in the flesh. Yes there's two versions, why is this still a discussion ” As a watchmaker who no doubt handles these almost daily, it’s probably worth believing his observation as pretty accurate. |

Rolex doesn't have mk 1, mk 2, etc., inserts; they have a warehouse with whatever batches have been put up for replacements. They might replace your old insert, but you might get back exactly what you sent in, or some other variation that you are dissatisfied with. Buy a new one, then sell the old one.

BLRO bezel
There are varying colors- I’ve held them in my hand, posted pics and videos on TRF, and those threads got locked back in 2018. Rolex doesn’t acknowledge Mk 1-xx, it’s collectors who designate and differentiate these things.
OP: I think if you send it to RSC and request a new bezel they will accommodate for a fee. Also, include a written request for the old bezel to be returned. I don’t have experience doing this with a bezel, but I have with other parts, and Rolex has returned them. |
