Icon7 DJ 36 Blue Fluted Dial

New to the forum and Rolex, wanted a Stainless Steel model so I’ve Put my name down for one of these for potentially Christmas Delivery,
I was wondering if anyone had actually seen one in the “flesh” and any opinions in general. Went for the more discreet bezel and 36mm as my wrists aren’t massive, also went for the Oyster rather than the shiner Jubilee bracelet. Tried the plain blue dial 36 but though this was a bit different.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Very nice, yes 36 is perfect if smaller wrists. Now, how “easy” will that one be to get compared to regular DJ plain blue…

The AD seemed to think that it wouldn’t be too tricky, I was a bit surprised as everything else was a flat no ( not even an OP) Tried a really nice plain blue dial with a fluted bezel on a jubilee, but I felt it was a bit “shiny” for a daily wear, but that’s just me…

That dial must be incredible in person. Reminiscent of the jubilation dial which I also love. Would definitely go for the fluted bezel as well.
Go for it, don’t think you’ll regret it.

I bought this exact model yesterday. It is one of my favourite datejust variations.

Will try to post a pic in a new thread tomorrow

I think that’s the right combo for that dial. All the action is on the dial, so keeping the bezel and bracelet simple makes a lot of sense to me. Best wishes

Hi, another newbie here too. Hope you get that beauty! I'm waiting for the green OP41, but if that doesn't happen before next summer I think that I'll try to get that DJ with fluted bezel+jubilee.

It looks great, the fluted bezel and jubilee, makes it very dressy..

He already published it

Great review! I would totally try to grab one, if I hadn’t have it already :)

But I prefer my version with oyster and smooth bezel. I think it goes better with this dial

That is absolutely beautiful. If is was in 38mm it would be perfect.

Hah, was going to say it would be perfect in the DJ41, ie 39mm. 36 is too small and 38 would just be borderline making the cut.

Love the dial but 36mm is just way to small for my taste. I have fairly small / average 6.75 wrist.

I have the same size wrist and am used to much bigger sized watches, but found this one and it’s classic look just perfect at 36.

If you want to have an idea on how this looks on a 6.75 wrist check out my thread (I put the link a few posts above)

I think it looks great. I'd personally want it as dressy as possible, fully fluted and jubileed, the full experience. Although 36mm looks on the small side on my 18cm/7.2in wrist, I'm willing to try it on and let its shiny beauty speak to me. All I need is a friendly call from my favourite local AD.

Just watched the excellent Hafiz video on this. Man, Rolex really flexed their muscles on this one. Really stunning watch.

Indeed! I wonder why this was such a quite release. IMO it is the best executed new dial of 2021, so why not include it in the marketing materials?

You can configure the watch yourself online and you would have seen it. Same goes for the Eisenkiesel dial on the DD.

I like the dial because it's different from your typical blue sunburst dial.

I do wonder though how will this dial stand the test of time. It looks kind of fancy now, but will this industrial honeycomb design still look good in a few years time, or will we look at it saying "gosh, what were Rolex thinking?". My car has a similar pattern in the grill of the front bumper. Will the watch remind me of a bumper every time I look at it?

Also, I wonder if it looks too busy IRL, I guess I won't know till I try one on.

The DJ 36 Fluted Jubilee with blue fluted motif dial is gorgeous! Great video review also.

My only wish was that the bracelet went back to a hidden clasp.
