1972 Rolex 1675 GMT Master Rootbeer 3.1 Million Serial Nipple Dial Jubilee Vintage

For sale is an excellent condition 40mm stainless steel and yellow gold Rolex 1675 GMT Master “Rootbeer”. The 1675 is a 3.1 million serial, circa 1972, and is accompanied by a factory service box, manual, and polishing cloth.

The GMT Master features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a bidirectional yellow gold bezel that is set with a gorgeous “Rootbeer” service insert. The Rolex is mounted on its original steel and yellow gold jubilee bracelet, which is secured by a deployant clasp. The bracelet will comfortably fit up to a 7.75 inch wrist and is in excellent condition. The Rolex features a brown service nipple dial with applied yellow gold luminous hour markers, polished gold luminous hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. While the 1675 does feature a service luminova dial and service hands, they both present beautifully in the sunlight.

The case has been preserved well with even fairly thick lugs, which contain sharp chamfers. The bracelet has stood the test of time well and presents beautifully for a nearly fifty year old bracelet, and is 100% all original. The watch was was sent to Rolex factory service in the late 1990s, which was where the: dial, hands, and insert were replaced. After the factory service, the watch sat in storage for many years, but was recently purchased from the original owner's daughter. The Jubilee bracelet contains some oxidation on its gold accents, which truly adds to the watch vintage aesthetics, and presents beautifully in the sunlight.
