Back to a Tudor

I had the original BB58 and then sold it when I got my first sub. I’ve regretted it since so when I dropped a watch for a service another one caught my eye that had been sitting or a while (nato…).

Was offered a 20% discount so it was a no brainer really. Currently have it on my own nato but will order a bracelet and a rubber b probably.

So pretty, and the value proposition is ridiculous

I was so happy with my first BB58 purchased in 2018 that I purchased the blue BB58 recently when my AD received one.

Nice one!

I’ve been debating whether to get a Tudor Black Bay 58 in blue given how it is next to impossible to get a Submariner. Still not quite decided yet, and as the BB58 in blue is not readily available at the ADs here anyway, I can mull it over some more and make a decision when it becomes available.

Great looking watch. Congrats. I’m after a new Explorer but threads like yours giving such praise to Tudor and the price point just almost makes it a requirement for me to get one…!

Yeah, for the money it’s great. I don’t have a blue dial so it kinda tucked a lot of boxes. My pet peeve remains though, the biggest one being the bezel edges being so fine when compared to Rolex. Other than that, it’s a winner.

Changed the nato again, this one is better methinks. Not sure how a black rubber b would look on it but if anyone has please share

Rubber B was bad in my experience but others loved it. Not exactly all bb58 but some tudors and rubber strap reviews. Second thread link is better.

I’m familiar with rubber B as I have the option for all of my watches.

Was asking more specifically about a black band with the Tudor navy blue dial and bezel.

Thanks for this. I ordered a black one for the watch, will compare it to the rubber B, but reviews look good

Back to a Tudor

The blue strap really looks sharp.

Is it normal to be able to get a discount on this watch? I’m guessing it being the non-bracelet version is why?

Hi all, thanks for the well wishes. I’m ordering the bracelet and wanted to ask how much it is in your neighbourhood?

It’s about $950 local here converted.

Interesting titbit, I phoned Rolex to enquire, part numbers are exactly the same between the original and the blue, so not sure why people say there is a difference in the bracelet colour.

Thats a great pickup at 20% off. No AD I know would discount that watch right now.

Bracelet I've heard is $800, so the $950 is a bit steep. I wouldnt be in a hurry to get a bracelet as Tudor is likely going to make more versions of the 58 and id rather just get a new 58 watch with the bracelet.

Thanks, I guess it’s the premium for living in Africa.

Honestly don’t plan on buying another 58, although I am tempted as the AD had one on bracelet in the shop…. Hmmmmm maybe buy the OG for the bracelet hehe

I’ll take it as fate if he still has it tomorrow

Haha, well I love my AD. Ended up buying the original 58 for the bracelet. Going to swop them and put a rubber B on the black as it will look better.

After the discount I got it was a no brainer.

25%

Although if I had waited until this month to buy it they had the blue on steel too haha

I couldn’t take off the bracelet but finally have it done as I had to go back to the AD like a fool to do it

As a matter of interest, they have sold 14 Tudor in two days. Granted their Rolex stock is thin as the owner says nowadays they need to choose their clients carefully. Fun times indeed.
