The Milgauss GV seems to be priced much higher than the white or black face. Do people think that the price of the GV will go down over the next few months as it becomes more available ?

Probably you didn't mean the retail price but the actual discount? Retail price will never go down but the actual discount may increase over time.

Your guess is as good as mine. I think it will eventually be like the LV sub. But it may take a few more years.

I think it will turn out to be as rare as the LV sub, that is not really rare at all.

It's really interesting re the White Dial Milgauss. In Japan they are the least popular and most used dealers will offer you peanuts for the white and a pretty good deal for the black dial.

Re the GV price, the list price is about $200 over the black or white. The gray retail is about $2000 more.

So the price adjustment may be on the way. At least I hope and pray.

I really do love the white dial, however, rightly or wrongly, I am beginning to consider re sale value over personal preference.

Still think the white is best though.

i think it will never go down the same price as the black or white millie..it might go down..but it will be never the same level price as the other too...Well it actually went down already...

Last price increase GV Milgauss did not have price increase. Next increase it will definitely have a price increase. Buy one now! Good luck!

MSRP? Probably not. Although the private market price of the GV has plunged since it came out.

I am not sure whether the GV will become more available or not because Rolex generally doesn't give production figures and they don't announce future plans for production either. But regardless, I am guessing the market price (the price most dealers are charging above retail) will go down merely because demand will lessen and because of the worldwide recession (which is likely to decrease the dealer's ability to ask for a higher price than retail). But I am still guessing a small premium will be paid because of the green tint. Actually, I have already seen the asking price come down quite a lot.

The GV will never go down in price - no MSRP on any Rolex will ever go down in price. The 3 models may reach parity some time, though.

Funny story: last September one of my clients paid $12900 for a GV!!! I told him not to, but he insisted that it is still a good deal. So on Saturday, I found him one for $5500 just to offset his cost. Granted, that was low, but not by much, $300-$400 at the most. Talk about depreciation!

The white faced Milgauss might be a sensible purchase, preowned.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Milgauss is only with us for another couple of years.
