Best sport model for small wrist 6.25in
I have a 36 DJ that fits well but want to get a SS sport model also. Any thoughts on which reference wears the smallest?
I’ve read a 14060M wears smaller than a standard sub because the case is thinner, non ceramic bezel is slightly smaller, and hollow links are lighter. Any thoughts appreciated! |

Same wrist size as yours. If you can stand this then go for sub

Yes, it looks far too big for that wrist.

14060M wears really small. Way smaller than ceramic. The daytonas are also very small at 38.5mm

Try a older Explorer II like this. I also have a 6-1/4 wrist and it wears really well. I haven’t tried the new one but at 42 vs 40 I suspect it will be too big.

Explorer is the classic sports Rolex and 36 is its best size
Any 5 digit Sub or GMT Daytona wears small, but, well, no... meh., I wouldn’t I’ll post my 14060m and my 36mm OP to help you compare

My wrist is bigger by about an inch, but you can see how they compare.

I’d suggest any rendition of the six digit YM40. The case size is slim and fits well.

Sports watches should be slightly bigger in my opinion, the explorer is too small
Yacht Master 40 is ideal and otherwise new Sub 41 would still be fine, it's not exactly huge |

You must be joking. Sub 41 is just about the right size for my 6.75” wrist and definitely too big on 6.25”. See the pic above of the new LV.

When it was on the bracelet it was a little lighter than the OP and didn’t really feel much bigger. I was dubious about buying the OP ‘till I tried it on, but it didn’t feel 4mm smaller.
Then 14060 is really comfy. It is my favourite Rolex, possibly my favourite watch from any brand, as it is so balanced and well proportioned. After market straps can be troublesome as there isn’t much clearance and the case can dig in, but this fitted Everest is lovely on it. Shouldn’t be hard to find a 5 digit to try on. The bracelets are lighter than newer models, but are tough as hell and last for years.

Probably because the five digit Sub is a true 40 and the last generation OP36 was larger than a true 36. |

The 6 digit yacht masters (in 40mm) wear smaller than the subs (now 41mm, but that includes the 6 digit 40mm subs). The Daytona also wears smaller (but I’m assuming that it’s not accessible in steel form from an AD for this discussion). So I’d suggest checking out the steel (with plat bezel) YM40 (assuming that you want a steel watch here). If that’s too big, there is a 37mm version too.
The 14060M def wears smaller than a 6 digit as well. I don’t own this model (nor the YM40), so I can’t compare the two in terms of size though. It is also possible that the sub41 would fit you as it partly depends on shape of wrist, not just overall circumference (i.e. do you have a “flat” wrist?). Some like big watches. Some like small watches…if you’re into used watches, you might want to look at the 39mm Explorer (as well as the 40mm Explorer 2 and the 40mm pre-ceramic GMTs too). Good luck! |

The 5-digit Explorer II wears really small, light and comfortable.
