I tried to wear my sub with a suit and didn't look right to me. For my wedding I wore my DJ (wedding gift) and DJ's look sharp with a suit or tux. Daytona (non ceramic bezel) looks really classy as well. But wear whatever feels the most special to you to commemorate your wedding day because you will always remember what you wore. Most importantly, enjoy the big day because it will go by in a flash and you probably won't even have time to look down on your wrist.

my now-wife gifted me a blue dial 15450st as an engagement/wedding watch, so that was a no brainer for me.

No watch. This is one day where time shouldn’t matter. Live in the moment.

16550 Explorer II. Married September 28, 1991. The 1973 BMW 3.0CSi was her 20th Anniversary gift. Just returned from touring Germany for our 30th.

I wore a 60s Movado that has belonged to my grandfather. At the time of my wedding I had three living grandparents (all in attendance) so I wore a watch that belonged to the grandfather who’d passed a few years before.

It depends. Are you getting married: underwater? on an airplane, on a mountain, on a racetrack, on a yacht? at the whitehouse?

Proposed wearing my Pepsi, got married in my Pepsi, and had my groom’s cake as my Pepsi.

Seems the photo wouldn’t attach first go around. I had the time and date set on the cake to the ceremony start time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thank you for this. I come here to feel normal compared to stuff like this. It’s like when Ed Norton went to all those support groups in fight club. You’re like my Meatloaf. |

By being on a watch forum and having the better part of 1,000 posts, you’re already not “normal.”

I wore my 116710LN on my wedding day as it was the only Rolex I owned at the time. |

Thanks! I also have a Cellini which honestly would’ve fit the attire better. However, the GMT. was so much more special to me. Most guys around here get cakes themed for their university or something cheesy. My favorite hobby is watch collecting, so that’s what I went with!

Mine was Rolex Explorer and still become my only watch till this day. Thinking of getting another one (the watch of course, not the obvious), still could not find any better than the 36 Explorer.

Cartier Tank Solo XL with croc strap (what it was originally released with)
The tux is meant to be worn to give a blank “canvas” to your bride’s outfit. I felt the tank solo also added to this appeal. |

I purchased a vintage Tudor for my wedding, but I actually preferred to wear my Seiko Presage SARB065 Cocktail Time.
As previously mentioned, a Cariter Tank on a black alligator-embossed strap would be elegant with a black tuxedo. |
