Engraving anyone?

Finally got around to engraving my OP39, really happy with how it turned out! I bought it right before my daughter was born in 2019 and was wearing it the day she was born. I plan to wear it quite regularly and pack it full of memories before eventually giving to her

Anyone else get their caseback engraved? lets see em

I would like to have two watches engraved. Did you have Rolex do it or someone else?

Took my Sub to my local AD to have it engraved as a graduation from law school present for my son. I believe they sent it out to someone else. They did, however, pressure test it in house when they put it back on the watch.

My in-laws presented this watch to me the night before my wedding to their daughter in 1972. Had never heard of Rolex in those days. It’s been sitting in a drawer for 48 years since I quit wearing suits with a vest lol…

Cannot see why as a replacement case back can be easily got direct from Rolex if needed. And there was once or perhaps still there a department in Rolex that done engraving for you.

Can confirm this. Back in 2016, my dad bought a brand new 116610 from a guy who got it as a 20 year anniversary gift from his company and didn't want it. Came with his company logo engraved on the case back. Took it to RSC in Dallas and swapped it out for cheap.

Oh yeah, and I should mention he paid like $4K for it!

Not as much as people who wear them do. I suggest just buying them and paying the AD to store it in their safe.

Agreed! I just picked up a green Aqua Terra to mark the birth of our second child due in November, not much room for engraving on that caseback

Your watches and the engraving looks really good but I wouldn't do it.

I don’t think it looks good. Most engraving are done with typefaces that are just not aesthetically pleasing. OP for example has used for 4 words, 2 typeface and 3 sizes.

I think it’s really well done Wayne You’re a sentimental dad who loves his daughter and this is one on many ways you’ve decided to express it.

I plan to engrave a Rolex for my wife soon

I love this!

I bought my 116610LV a week before my son was born. I think I might have to get it engraved with his birthdate.
