BODYBUMP (Oscar) = TRUST WAS EARNED, NOT GIVEN!!!!
Bodybump (Oscar)
I would like to thank-you for such a great experience with buying the first Rolex (16613 TT Sub "M") watch for my husband, for our 1 year anniversary. You made the on-line uneasy experience so easy and great for me and I am very grateful !!! Just to give everyone the whole experience for me, I will tell the "somewhat" short version, so you can appreciate how much Oscar helped me..... and how much I appreciate Oscar. My husband has spoke of two things since we have been together that he has always wanted and someday would have (besides me of course :) One being a very expensive corvette and the other more important being the exact watch I bought from Oscar. A few months ago my husband was involved in an incident which could have taken his life, and I realized that life is too short and every moment that we share with the ones we love should always be cherished......and I wanted to get him the watch he always wanted. I was about to purchase a used 1999 "A" model with repairs needed for 5. Then I found this forum and found out that I could buy a new one for a little more. Because I am in the law enforcement field and deal with crooks and lies everyday, I was very skeptical about the wiring of money and dealing with people with on-line purchases and poor Oscar caught the 100 questions associated with this and he answered them all with patience and much understanding. I checked out Oscar with a fine tooth comb and was 99% confident when I wired him the money before receiving the watch. I even told Oscar that I would be taking the watch to a dealer to have it checked so that I knew it was authentic, although after seeing it along with all the paperwork I was sure, I still took it to satisfy that last 1 %. As I had felt and hoped, I was not dissapointed, OSCAR EARNED MY TRUST!!!!! Thank-you so much Oscar for such a great experience and for such professionalism. You are the man! Because the 1st year anniversary is celebrated by paper or wood, I bought him some cigars in two different wooden boxes and the store gave me a empty cigar box to put the rolex box inside of as the last box of cigars he would open. I typed in different cigar store websites into our home computer so he would see in the history that I had been checking on cigars and of course he thought I was getting him cigars. The look on his face was priceless and full of emotion as he opened the last box of cigars to see no cigars, yet a box with the rolex symbol on top. He said with a confusing look "What is this?" I told him I didn't know so he removed the box to find the green box with the gold symbol and then opened it and it hit him. He was SHOCKED! I will always remember how great the moment of surprise and happiness was when he opened the box to see his new TT Submariner "Bluesy", I will try to attach a few pictures of the wonderful 1 year anniversary. Thank-you again Oscar for making our 1 year anniversary such a pleasant experience. OSCAR YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!!!! THANK-YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hard2decide, thanks for sharing with us.
We do have a great bunch here. I bought my wife the 10P diamond Ladies Date Just for our 30th and this year got her the YG/SS no date DJ for our 33rd. Rolexes are meant for those very special events. |

After THAT story? I'd give Oscar a kidney without a thought!
Now...cigars AND a Rolex? Listen...if you ever find yourself NOT married.....God forbid, but if...oh, nevermind. My wife lets me buy Rolexes (and Omegas, and Tag Heuers, and oddball old Swiss automatics....). You two live a long and happy life together. May he wake every morning knowing how very fortunate he is. mark |

Slightly off topic, but pertinent. I was talking to a buddy of mine who is a jeweler, who knows watches but makes most of his money in gems, and he told me that watches may be the last business where the handshake is everything. I immediately thought of my friends here.
No one with a reputation to protect will ever burn anyone, because reputation, and honor, is all. Speaking strictly for myself, there are no regulars here who I would not trust on word alone. It is what they say it is. It is worth what is asked. It will be delivered intact, packed with love. Sure, this is true of Oscar, but it is also true of another two dozen I could mention off the top of my head. It's a testament to this forum...the mods spot weasels early on and keep the APSF (a**holes per square foot) ratio to a minimum. No one will make a living being a crook here, on this forum. On top of that...low lifes are not interested in Rolex, beyond the bling factor that they could easily get buying a fake. They are interested in money. My experience here is that for the largest part, everyone is far more interested in making a new friend than selling a watch. mark |

Thanks to all for the congrats on the anniversary. I think this has been the best purchase I have ever made. I hope the excitement of my husband realizing that there is a Rolex on his wrist never fades. It makes me very happy to still see him gazing at his new watch weeks later.
Oscar, I kind of miss pestering you with so many questions and texts, maybe I will have to start looking for a watch for myself :) |
