Incoming - First Rolex - DJ36

My first incoming today and it's a special one.I got the call from my AD on a DJ36 with the blue fluted motif dial, and I think it is stunning. I ordered in late-May (no spend history), so turnaround was pretty solid all things considered.

I had inherited my father's Cellini Cestello a few years ago when he passed. As a teen and young adult, that was my gold standard (no pun intended) for a beautiful watch, and to have inherited it was truly an honor. However, wearing it was a bit tricky. It always felt as though I was wearing my dad's watch and not my own. . that I was treading in his space if that makes sense.

So, I saved for a while and finally chose something that will be my own and bit more of a "day to day" piece rather than the gold Cellini and I am so excited about my new DJ. Cheers, all!

I absolutely love this dial and have had my name down for a while for one. It’s definitely not run of the mill and will stand out in the collection I have planned. Congratulations.
After seeing yours I’m more eager than ever and hope I don’t have too much longer to wait.

Congrats. Got mine 2 weeks ago. Beautiful dial. I did a combo that I said I would never do- smooth bezel on jubilee bracelet. For some reason, that combo worked for me with this dial.
Enjoy it and big congratulations

Congrats and well done. I think you got the right configuration for that dial...the smooth bezel and oyster bracelet balance out the interesting dial pattern.
