Baseball strap
I hope this thread is ok. Its kind of a WTB but I thought some discussion would be fun too so I put it here.
I've seen some places that sell straps made from old baseball mitts and old war era leather and I love them. I have a white dial Panerai 251 Daylight and I have an idea to get a strap made from an actual baseball. It would be white with red stitches. Has anyone ever seen a strap like that? Is there a strap maker that will make a strap from material on request? I'd love to have a bunch made, some shiny new white ones and maybe find some old beat up little league balls and try that. I know a baseball has a funky shape when you cut one open, I wonder of the leather would form a strap or be too curled? I think it would be popular and someone could make some $$ selling them. Heck maybe try it with a basketball and/or football etc.

They do exist with basketball and football material... I have not seen a baseball material though. Just the gloves.
If anyone could or would do it - it would probably be Delaurian - have you seen his site? Europelli does the baseball glove straps and those are pretty cool in my opinion... Let us know!! and pics if you do get one!

I'd give Shane Delaurian a shot - he does great custom work. Send him out some new baseballs and see what he can do. I would be very interested in seeing the results.
