Are you on a Rolex waitlist? I am. Actually not a bad pastime knowing you can purchase Rolex at MSRP

I am waiting on a red OP41, it will be my 4th from this AD. I am certain it will come but the timetable is “flexible.” I am hoping to have it by the end of the year.

I've been on a wait list for a couple years now.

I hope my ship will come in soon.

I introduced myself to an AD in September and was told there was no waitlist only a wish list. Went back in October with my girlfriend and bought some earrings and a bracelet. The AD seemed rather confident she was going to be able to get me something on my wish list pretty soon. I think I'm going to stop by this week and buy some jewelry for a Christmas present and hope it speeds up the process. If that doesn't work I'm going grey

If the only reason you bought the jewellery was to get a Rolex at retail, then you would have been better off just going grey market in the first place.

Saved yourself a lot of time & probably paid less in the overall scheme of things

And a happy girlfriend! I kind of need a trustworthy jeweler to. Had some questionable online purchases before. It all work out. Hopefully, it leads to me being able to purchase more watches down the road as well. Just getting impatient on my first while watching prices go up. Im sure some of yall can relate.

I wouldn’t even bother going into an AD at the moment. I’m on the life is too short to waste my time and lose my dignity list.

No such thing as waiting lists… “Registration of interest” now they call it, at least in the UK.

In your AD maybe. This does not apply to all UK ADs.

My AD is part of the big chain, I assumed all the stores in the chain called it the same thing.
But even if they don’t, surely the term “waiting list” is a fallacy? It’s not as though they go through the list in order.

Just came off the waitlist actually. Put in a request for a DJ41 I was looking for and was completely shocked when they came through for me about a month and a half later.

No, they can stuff their wait list. I dont have a horse in the race, and to me the real legends of Rolex (4 and 5 digit references) are the older references. Those were the icons, and those were watches, worn as tools, and worn day to day for their reliability, not there investment opportunities, and had the battle scars to prove it. Take a look at C24, wouldnt surprise me if the watches made after 2000 were worn a hand full of times, and kept mainly in the safe. There is no meaning in that to me, no story, and no heritage. The current models are to be blunt, basking in the glow of what the 4/5 digit models built. The new versions are just sadder, bloated, blingier, commodified, versions of what once was and can be no more due to the times.

On the list for a 124060 at my AD. They seem to think I for sure will get it before my birthday in April. Fingers crossed, as it's a big milestone for me.

LOL, Bear.

Breezy, I'm with you. I'm willing to pay MSRP for a nice watch, but not much more than that quite frankly.

And I just got on the waitlist with my BMW dealer to order a new car as well, so now not only one day soon will I be able to tell time without asking someone, I'll be able to drive myself to the AD to pick up the new watch.

hmmmm....
