Would it be profitable or possible to manufacture a few vintage rolex watches to spec

Would it be profitable or possible to manufacture a few vintage rolex watches to spec and then to sell them over the years if they could be manufactured without anyone knowing they were fakes? I have often wondered if people do this with ancient coins because of their primitive minting processes involved which could easily be carried out today. After the made to spec fake vintage watches were made one could age them some how by exposing them to the elements. Is this possible? do people do this? I'm not talking about franken watches. I'm talking about trying to make a vintage watch to spec just like rolex did.

so produce non-original rolex watches and sell them as vintage rolex watches?

i.e. produce fakes?

So when you say "to spec", you mean to say "fake", "counterfeit", "replica", etc. As noted in many other threads, various fake parts are widely available.
