1975 Auction Result
I am not sure what happened here but I am very surprised by this result from today. A 1675 MK1 with a damaged dial, incorrect insert, acceptable but not amazing case... yeah it has papers but the result seems quite frothy.
By the way, I'm not throwing shade, its like the house on my street that I think sold for too much. I'm fine with it! Just wondering if I am missing something. https://jewelry.ha.com/itm/timepiece...ription-071515 |

You had me thinking that there was a new reference I hadn't heard of ... 1975? :-)
I can't see the price or high-res images without registering for the site.

It happens. I got a little carried away in an auction recently and had some remorse afterwards.
Fortunately it was on Yahoo! Japan and the final price was only about 10% of the price for the OP watch.

why do you say the dial is damaged? it has some patina but nothing glaringly bad.

I couldn't see it either, but I'm only looking at low-res images.

Thanks Mark! That one shows it better. The dial is not great and under even more magnification it gets worse...

1975 Auction Result
I participated in that auction yesterday (prices were pretty crazy, I didn’t get anything). I was surprised that went for $22,000 also.
Now for a twist- I live in a city of about 300,000 people. I noticed in the descriptions that several of the watches in that auction came from an estate in my home town, including but not limited to: 2 DRSDs, the 666, a 16613, some Omegas, a gold Rolex 8171 padellone, and the all-gold 6542 with original minty Bakelite. They’re still out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
