Trade 126719 BLRO for 116519LN

I continue to tweak my collection and hope to settle in for a while. I have an offer to trade my 126719 BLRO (Blue dial) for a 116519LN (Silver dial). No cash. Straight trade. I think the 116519 is stunning and I am intrigued by the OF. I have other stainless steel Rolex and APs. I know the Pepsi is all PM while the Daytona case is PM.

Any thoughts on this potential trade?

I think value wise is against your favor, but I personally like the WG OF more (PM bracelet debate aside) to wear. The sunburst dial is the deciding factor for me when it comes to the looks between the two watches.

Value wise, I don't think you win. BUT, the Silver dial is amazing....and a very comfortable watch. so I'd follow your gut on this one. Don't make it all about value.

I like everything about the GMT more. Looks, function, full bracelet, bezel and colors.

Same here! Daytonas have a dial cluttered with useless subdials and no date window; all hype, no substance IMHO.

Love the daytona but I would not make that trade. Bracelet vs Rubber are my reasons.

Although the 116518 is next on my list, I think I would not make the trade. The blue dial is pretty special and I would rather have that in the collection; just my own opinion.

I’m in love with the 116519LN. I’m a huge fan of the meteorite dial. I have a GMT Pepsi meteorite and it’s a grail for me. I’ve had my eye on the meteorite Daytona you mentioned; even contacted my AD and offered either of my two children if he could locate one for me. Lol.
I will say that the GMT is far far easier for me to actually tell time on! Maybe it’s just these old eyes. I have numerous Daytonas and love them all, but I must admit it’s a little more difficult for me to quickly or easily tell time on them. And not having the date always made me scratch my head.

Keep both!!! The 116519LN is stunning! Found this picture in another thread. I must get this watch!!!

OP is talking about trading a silver dial watch not a meteorite dial.

That would be a whole different conversation

I would not make that trade and I own the 116519 - I prefer the WG Pepsi. Wait, you can trade with me then! LOL - joking.

Not a chance...just get a rubberB for one of the SS to scratch the rubber itch. But seems like you really wanna move off the WG Pepsi so feel free but also get cash.

Personally I'd rather trade the AP 15500 grey for the 116519LN.

Well there is an option to trade the AP but there is cash involved.

How much cash? That should tell you all you need to know about the AP, the dealer also sees it at a high and doesnt want to assume the downside risk of it.

Exactly. 3K. It is not terrible to get another PM Rolex.

Okay so that means he sees both watches as equal right now and he wants 3K as his commission. I'd probably do it. Past threads a year back were comparing the AP 15500 blue dial vs that same Daytona.

At MSRP, WG GMT 126719 BLRO (Blue dial) is higher than WG Daytona 116519LN (Silver dial) but they are just about the same price for secondary market.

I would rather keep GMT WG and save more money and get 116519LN at your AD with some wait time.

I'd keep the GMT. More useful, more gold, more value long term. But this is just my opinion

trade the AP plus the 3K, that seems like a win to me. Id rather have the blue dial pepsi than the AP and Im very torn on the pepsi/daytona trade...this way you get to have the best 2 out of the 3 pieces in conversation

Sounds like you will never be happy no matter what you do. Just stick with what you have or buy the OF outright

No trade. Not a fan of the Daytona. Prefer GMTs all day vs. any Daytona
