Yesterday's news. Today's record on C24 is $159,974, "fixed price", no less.

Hahahahahaha

Tell the idiot who eventually pays that to come see me. I have some seriously good stuff to sell them.

(A bridge, in Brooklyn.)

At this point, just list things for $1.75 Million.

Why not?

I guess some people don't realize you can list anything you want for any price. It doesn't mean it will sell for that or sell at all or even if the seller has the watch but I guess let's just believe everything on the internet and post daily about what XX person put what for sale for $XXXX.

The behavior of the market these days is the following:

1) A couple greys list something "popular" at a moonshot price.
2) It sits.
3) A few more greys jump on the bandwagon.
4) Eventually all the listings on Chrono24 move up to match the moonshot price.
5) The greys who have Youtube channels and other media profiles post videos stoking FOMO.
6) Eventually some will sell, or it'll look like they're selling (you know, the games they play with their listings).
7) Regular people start to talk about how this is the new price and how it's amazing that it went up by 35% in 2 months while the stock market dropped or stayed flat.

And now, this is the new norm for this watch.

Sure greys can list any price they want.. . bottom line- when stuff doesn't move, and revenue dries up - they will lower prices, and get cash flowing again

Well perfect example is Anthony from TPG. And he’s done the last couple of weeks with GP. He’s been looking for a new watch to create hype so he can buy cheap and sell expensive. Unbelievable what the social media and the power of influence can do.

There's also literally zero proof that those inflated pieces that were "SOLD!!!" were ever actually sold, at any price at all, to a legitimate buyer

We only see they were listed at some price, then later delisted

I'm sorry to say but you are mistaken. They are being sold at close or near asking prices. It may be hard for you to accept but it's the truth. Not sure if you know but personal collectors are not willing sell these watches because of the price increases/gains; it's harder for these grays to source them. Rolex watches are a dime a dozen but RM, PP, AP or VC models are hard to come by.

Can't believe the amount of haters that are on the forums these days. These watches are being sold whether you believe it or not. Doesn't matter what we think something is worth because if you don't buy it, someone else will.

I think there are a lot of trades going on too. When a SS daytona is trading in the 40s.. well they are not going to trade you back a 15500 with only a small premium. So all of this further inflates prices for everything and the delta between the pieces is maintained. This can end really badly

Worth remembering that there are lots of people with serious money to burn.

Tom Hartley (UK Car Dealership) are selling a Ferrari with 250 miles on the clock for £70k under the purchase price.

These numbers are massive for people like me, but to plenty enough people, it’s relative pennies.

Any Ferrari being offered by TH for £70k under list is a complete dud. Not the market at all Vince.

But yes, one man’s pound is another ones pennies as you rightly say.

Not a dud I don’t think, just someone getting very carried away with the options list!! lol

You may not know what trusted sellers here sell stuff for but there are dealer fb groups that I frequent to buy and sell and you can see openly in the comments how much things are getting sold for. For example a 26331st black did sell for over 80k. So a blue dial 15500 selling for 100k would not surprise me. Crazy.

100% correct. 26331st black and white dial are trading for over $90k currently on the market, not just chrono24 asking prices

Quite certain that these are transacting at $100k a piece or close quite readily these days especially for those that are in minty condition.

Worth remembering that some of the collectors here on TRF have serious money to burn.

We don't stay wealthy by "burning" our money, though. And I would never pay 120,000 for this watch. I don't think any others on TRF would, either.

Well, some people have income rate so high, burn rates are meaningless.

Classic price discovery though right? Anyone that preferred cash to the watch probably already did so around 50k. And those that prefer the watch, we’ll what else are they going to replace a 15500 with? Nothing likely. So higher it goes.

Someone could offer me 100k for my 26331ST Blue and I’d say no because I’d still prefer to wear and enjoy the watch. Although if I had a green Daytona, it’s probably be long gone by now.

100k for a steel Royal oak is legit. All it is doing is finally catching up to the Nautilus.

The CHEAPEST 15500ST blue in the U.S. on chrono24 is $100,990

Even the cheapest 15500OR on the strap is $93,585

You're all crazy.

You say that as if the Nautilus is properly valued at 150,000. It's not. It's insane.
