What happens when people start selling these as real?

How can you tell this is not real?

A quick glance reveals it is a bad copy of a Daytona. These things are listed for sale on ebay all the time, and it's buyer beware.

There are way too many things wrong with this Faketona. Crown guards are wrong, pushers are wrong, and the thumb recess on the bracelet is wrong. The movement is an obvious giveaway.

For those who know, this is a bad fake.

You are absolutely correct.

To the OP, read through the Watch Out section of this forum. You can learn a lot about how to identify the fake watches.

I think its a valid point. How much better is the real Rolex for $10K more is something to think about. Why does spending that extra $10K make you feel better??

Fakes are illegal, trademark violations, and non-regulated.. They are a criminal enterprise..

If you want to have, fondle, or enjoy a fake product and hang with the type of individual that is all about image and little about substance, there are other forums dedicated to that....

They just get better and better don't they. But what I like to think about is content and how huge Rolex' markup really is. Stainless Steel costs the same as do the little watch parts. Its all profit for Rolex. A real Rolex Daytona could not cost more than $1000.00 over the cost they are selling that fake for!
