Thoughts on this submariner 6538 on ebay?
I think it looks good, in that everything is authentic. However, I wanted to see what others thought. Thanks.

I wouldn't. Very Low Ebay Feedback & Short Ebay Membership. Unless you can "Put Your Hands On It" In Person, Authenticate it and Make The Deal On Site... Don't.

The dial and case ring alarm bells. The case doesn’t have the patina of a 60 year old watch. The condition of the dial is one of the best I’ve ever seen. It’s too good. A correct 6538 in that condition would do a lot better at of the big auction houses. With the correct insert it would be fetching 6 figures. With that in mind ask yourself why it’s on eBay. The case and dial condition for me is too good to be true. There’s a dial maker based in London that produces very convincing gilt dials, I suspect this one of his, the very pronounced serifs on the 3 & 9 markers are often seen on his dials. The lume is very well done. A watch like this needs a thorough in person inspection by someone who knows these watches inside out.
