12 for me, which brings not only the number but also the red triangle at noon (❤️) and the shorter hour markers and the absence of the “cut” marker at the bottom of the date.

DI for me. I like the longer indices and less busy minute track.

I got the 12 as it was all that was offered at the time.
It’s funny, in pictures I thought the original DI of the Terre Adelie looked a lot better…but now in the metal I’ve come to really love the 12! |

Just ordered. DI, but I would've been fine with the 12 if there weren't an option between the two.

Wow, nearly a steady 50/50 between the two.
12 for me.

12 for me on the 40,5mm version. The dial opening on the Antarctique is on the large side.
Config with DI tends to visually increase the dial size. My preference would probably be different on the 38.5 version. |

The marker placement with 12 is better but I still went DI beacuse imo prefer symmetry over everything.

I ordered DI, but will probably order a second watch with the 12, black dial and red tip. Both are nice…

Shocked to see the results so far; I think the 12 is so much better!

It is interesting to see how close the two are. i totally get the balanced visual DI desire, yet for me the 12 just 'works' better for my old eyes, especially at night when i depend on the lume. Neither choice is 'right' or 'wrong', it's simply a preference.

I would have chosen the DI if it were an orderable option when I got my Passage de Drake. But now that I've had the 12 and become accustomed to it, I wouldn't change out for a DI even if it could be done free of charge. The 12 font is part of the brand identity. Additionally, I like the red triangle at 12 to match the red tip on my seconds hand, as well as the complete distinction of the minute track from the main dial and larger indexes. When it comes down to it, I just love that when ordering, one can specify these little details to one's tastes.

I can’t vote, but I appreciate that I can now see the maniacs who choose 12….including OP.
Jk, I still love you Steve.

And I love the 12. PS: You need to vote, only if... am surprised you of all people are not getting one! I'd thought you'd get two actually.

Haha. It's on my radar, might be my favorite sport watch out there right now. But I have too many things in the queue for the next two years that I can't walk away from because I'd never get another chance.

This is the state we are in now as watch enthusiasts. I have to plan my moves out 2-3 years in advance.
