Would you risk swimming in your Submariner
I’m a coward and wouldn’t risk it - use my SKX for swimming

A modern sub with fresh gaskets and pressure testing shouldn't have any problem. Make sure to rinse it off after.

Seriously?! These are professional sports/diving watches made for the water! Below I’m wearing my sub SCUBAing in Barbados (I’m on the right in blue top).

I won't own watches I can't go in the water with. It's a mandatory feature.

This is a shame, as effectively discounts any leather strapped watches. Every collection should have a leather strapped watch IMO.

For anything dressy, on the rare occasion, I’ll wear BLNR-ish with no apologies. If anyone finds offense to that or my style, they can go take a flying leap But OP, take it swimming. It deserves it. Water isn’t going to hurt it one bit. |

I'm afraid to drive my car, too, and don't think they were made to put miles on.

I dive, spear fish, swim etc with my deep-sea. It's my daily watch, only comes off when I'm wrenching or sleeping. Did the same with the my sub.

Is this meant to be funny? It’s literally made for use in water.

I wear my Daytona to the beach and snorkeled with it…also no problem with my sub in fresh or saltwater.
I actually always have a watch on when I’m in the water |

5 posts. Troll, I hope. Otherwise def worse than a troll. I’d presume 99% of people do not dive with their 10k plus luxury jewelry. However… If OP asking if a dive watch can be used for diving, I’m curious if they are aware that a car can be used for driving, jacket in the winter, etc. Either way, good luck in general with adulting OP. |

SMH...
OP, what are you afraid of? Losing your Submariner in the ocean? I have been using a 60m rated IWC for swimming and snorkeling for 20 years no problem. I am also using my 120m rated 5711 for swimming when I want to jump into the lake. Taking a waterproof watch for a swim is certainly less risky than having it sit on the beach. |

I wouldn’t- not because of the watch but because I can’t swim ! Watch will be absolutely fine.
