Old is New Again incoming

Carried in my 2000 Daytona for service at RSC Beverly Hills in early December. They didn’t officially get the go ahead from me until late Jan due to email hiccup. Received it back this AM to my Midwest home. Thought you would like to see how these things arrive. I’m very pleased by the work which is it’s first service in over 20 years

Looking forward to the photos, I’m currently travelling home after dropping my near 10yr old 114060 to the AD for some TLC, I have pre authorised enough for a service and new crystal. It’s gonna be a long 10-12 weeks.

Looks new. What was the issue for the servicing?

Guilt and fear of never having service for 22 years.

Yea, that was my reasoning for a 15 year routine service for my Bluesy that worked perfectly.

Stunner! Now you get to baby it until that first new scratch.

Thanks for all the comments. My main reason for posting is I wanted to have it polished and share the experience as I don't think it impacted anything other than making it look new. It was in really amazing condition for 20 + years old but certainly showed light signs of wear. To me, it now looks brand new and as sharp as the day it was new! To answer your comment Mystro, buzz kill lol

I honestly don’t think you will have any problem keeping it pristine for a long time because your 20yr pic looked really good. Other than not taking the stickers off, you are right back where you were 20 years ago with this Daytona being new again.

I agree. I’ll keep up with it as much as is possible. Funny you mentioned stickers, first thing they told me at RSC was the big green case back sticker would be taken off. I never had removed it. For some reason back in the day that was a thing but I don’t remember why lol…

Yeah me too

Sometimes wish Rolex made this style/bezel in Everose. Or even a 16525 versus 16528. That would be insane. Everose 5 digit Zenith Daytona. I'd be all over one of those.

But OP congrats on getting it back from service and owning it. Looks fantastic

Digging the new service pouch as well. Wouldnt mind owning a few. Guess all I need to do is send in a few for service

Any issues at all to speak of with a service interval that delayed? My guess is no but curious.
