Rolex Daily Global Advertisement

I enjoy these newspaper advertisements. Rolex co-sponsors globally.

Never even noticed any of these ads in my life until I got my first.

And then I realised they had been there my entire life, directing me to my first port of call for when I decided I wanted a luxury watch.

I do not have a mental picture of any other brand’s watch ads.

I don't want to be that guy. But please stop newspapers all together and subscribe to your favorite newspapers/magazines online. It is cheaper, more up to today and you will be doing the world a great favor.

Happily digitally subscribed to FT, Bloomberg and WSJ. Any newspaper that is worth anything would have a great app you can install anywhere and editing tools so you highlight..etc

I've been an Investor's Business Daily subscriber since 1995 and they stopped issuing paper copies years ago. They have a paper weekend addition but otherwise it's all online now.

Reminds me of Chevrolet……..all the adds in the world for the lumina and turds……never any for the corvette, because they don’t need to…….Rolex is too smart to make an add with a Pepsi or Daytona…..

Yeah, here's one on a billboard on my old commute. Over the years I saw DSSD, DD, Sub and most of the line up. Never saw an AK or Milgauss though.

Not very imaginative or creative, IMO. Seems like just a template placeholder for using up the print-ad budget.

I agree. However, collectively they are interesting. A Rolex marketing type picks the model they are spending a chunk of change to promote. Maybe it’s rotation, less popular models, etc.
