Two well loved Rolex.

Ok so, funny story. Ish.

I drove my deuce and a half to publix today to pull some cash out from the atm. While parallel parking it in front of the store I noticed this older gentleman run out of the way. Like RUN. So once I got parked I decided to go and let him know “I saw him and was not going to hit him and let him know I apologize for scaring him”.

So I walk in and see him and immediately start the conversation with “I am so sorry if I scared you backing up into that spot, I saw you. My apologies!”

I decided to pay for his alcohol purchase and as I walked out he caught up to me to say thank you.

While we were talking I said “that’s a Rolex right?”

He says “yes, I’ve worn it everyday for 25 yrs.”

I said great watch can I take a picture and he said “sure”.

His name was Dave and I hope to run into him again.

Pics or it didn’t happen.

Great story and very generous of you. We don't value our elderly folks like we need to.

That is a fact, many see elderly as prey now-days!

Very nice, Goat... although the deuce and a half may have been overkill for an ATM run.

Hahahaha, Paul, it’s only overkill if you think it is. I drive this thing wherever, whenever.

Thank you gentleman. For the record, I didn’t do it because he was elderly. I did it because I felt like I may have ruined that guys day. Especially because my truck isn’t necessarily the norm in my neighborhood.

Great story! Isn’t nice to find watches as a common with a stranger.

I have actually had quite a few watch conversations at that Publix. And it is about the only place I’ve ran into many different Rolex. The most common I’ve ran into were other 16613lb’s. It seems I can’t go a week without seeing at least one besides mine. But at that Publix I’ve seen multiple different PM models, stainless Daytona, quite a few variations of datejusts.

Hey MrGoat. I don’t say this often but that’s a fitting name. Way to live up to it. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you sir, much appreciated however the name refers to an actual goat, not the GOAT.

Man, it’s a freaking blast!! I’ve been offered 3x what I’ve got in it and can’t let it go. Just brings so much joy to so many people.

In my opinion the best part of the picture is Dave’s watch is set to the correct day and time. He obviously uses it daily.

Dave is my hero.
