Any Tudor model that can compare directly and on the same bar with Rolex?

Since many people think Tudor look good on photo and understated on Wrist

Do you think any Tudor Model can be considered as good as Rolex level ?

The Tudor Heritage Ranger can compare well with the Rolex Explorer. It's got better water resistance (150m) than the Explorer (100m), better lume on dial and hands, blacked-out rehaut and 99% brushed steel case and band makes it more stealthy in the field, flatter caseback for lower profile, and drilled lugs make it easier to change straps. Domed crystal and red seconds hand give it more character, too, and the fact that Rolex registered the name Ranger in 1929, almost a quarter century before they registered the Explorer name, gives it some heritage value. I've owned both and only kept the Ranger. (Price is better too, of course).

Black Bay 58 is pretty damn close. The clasp is its biggest weakness. I've modded mine and it now has a tool-less microadjust. It gets as much wrist time (and in some cases more) than its brothers from the Crown.

I agree. The BB58 is a badass watch. You can grab one of these for 4K Cad and It’s on par with a sub, IMO. You can say that the finishing on a sub is nicer, and that’s true, but the BB58 is still an amazing watch

Any Tudor model that can compare directly and on the same bar with Rolex?

The Tudor Black Bay GMT is a stunner of a watch and I would have one if I didn’t already have a Rolex GMT. 48 click bezel can track more time zones than the 24 hour click bezel of the Rolex. Additionally, it makes for a better impromptu timer. It has better diving capability than its Rolex counterpart at 200m WR. Neither the Rolex nor the Tudor GMT have a proper dive bracelet but the Tudor can slip into a NATO easily but the Rolex, due to the close proximity of the spring bar to the case will struggle to fit even a thin NATO.

If Tudor releases a different colored bezel or alternatively give the fans what they want (BB58 GMT), I will likely add one to the collection.

Speaking of divers. The Tudor Pelagos series are highly capable Dive watches constructed in titanium that can go pound for pound with its big brother the Sea Dweller. I have borrowed a friends Pelagos during a dive in Coronado and the clasp extension is fantastic! It is meant to be used over a dive suit/ dry suit, not bare skin.

Inb4 the Rolex tinted glasses club waltzes into the thread and disparage Tudor watches simply because they don’t have “Rolex” on the dial without any valid arguments.

I’m a big fan of the 70’s to early 90’s Tudor Big Blocks and Blue Snow Flakes…
Nice additions to a collection with Rolex Submariners and GMT Masters…

Some modern Tudors actually remind me of vintage 70s and 80s Rolex

Totally agree with you on the BB GMT. For all the reasons mentioned, I find it much more useful as a daily than its Rolex counterpart. So much so that I let go of my GMT IIC which was eventually replaced by an entirely different Rolex.
I would go as far as to say that the BB GMT saved me the trouble of going vintage for that "traditional" GMT experience, all in a contemporary and technologically upgraded package.

Really? You didn’t think the jumping hr function of the gmt II made any difference? When I travel across Europe on business I love how I can change time so quickly and efficiently as soon as the plane lands…

The thickness of the Tudor puts me off…the gmt II fits on the wrist so much better.

Well, I've got news for you: The Tudor GMT DOES have a jumping hour hand. In fact it does all what the GMT II can do and yet some (48 click bezel comes to mind, power reserve, wr, etc.)
I can agree with you on the thickness. Depending on wrist size and shape this can vary from being a non issue all the way to being a deal breaker. For me it's a non issue as pros far outweigh cons.

Wow I didn’t know that! Thanks for letting me know

How about power reserve? More than 70hrs that the cal3285 deliver?

The in house Tudor GMT movement (MT5652) works the exact same way as the current Rolex 3285 and the previous generation Rolex 3186

Agreed, especially with the last paragraph! The Rolex-tint here is strong!

That said, the only thing that prevents me from putting the BB or the Pelagos on a similar level as their Rolex equivalents is just a matter of personal preference on materials. If the BB had a ceramic bezel, and if the Pelagos was made of G5 titanium then both would be almost perfect watches in their own right.

For anyone to claim they’re absolutely worlds apart these days (other than brand awareness) is a little blinkered IMO. (And I’m saying this an ex-Tudor owner).

The two brands are targeted at two different audiences by design. It would be a redundant to have them both go at the same audience.

And to answer you question - as milibrk said, they both tell time.

I would say Tudor is as good as any Rolex watch in construction materials used and if regulated correct accuracy. But many today just wear the Rolex name on the dial and not other brands.

Agreed! It’s a shame that other brands are only compared to Rolex based their resale value

Have to agree today by many Rolex watches are thought of as little more than ££$$€€ object things and little more.

Knocks the spots off most and is under appreciated. Show me a full gold watch at this price point with this accuracy..

Yes
The 58 is comparable (slightly better) that 5 digit Subs refs

The Pelagos is arguably comparable to SD’s

Not comparable in terms of specs with 6 digit refs due to added bling, ceramics, bracelet

I collect Subs but feel the Pelagos is a better watch since it is better IMHO at being a tool watch. It is my daily wear and doesn't show scratches the way my Rolex do. The fact that you can get one for around £3K is insane. I've even considered buying a spare :)

The snowflake hour hand is classic. Love it. Own a Tudor BB58. It is a modern, 5-digit Sub, but better. Just doesn’t say “Rolex”. I’m ok with that.
