Icon5 Capture everose in photography?

Has anyone ever been able to accurately capture Rolex everose in photography? Seems like nearly every photo with the cellphone the everose comes out as looking like SS or Platinum. Very difficult to get the gold hue of this watch that is visible in real life.

Same deal with the sunburst sundust colored dial. Extremely difficult to accurately capture the sundust dial in images.

Try using something besides a cell phone?

I have. Have used my Nikon full frame DSLR with pro f2.8 lenses and the everose color with sundust dial still never seems to come out just right....

I've never been a fan of Nikon's colorscience, tbh. The camera is a start, but you can't expect "pro results" with a full frame camera and "pro lenses."

Have you tried setting a custom white balance? Are you using natural light? What time o f day? Fluorescent light? Off camera flash?

Lightroom and CaptureOne exist for a reason.

Yes, I am experienced with LR and PS. Use them very routinely. I can play with the colors and get the photos better, but unedited, the everose color doesn't come out right. Have tried direct sunlight, shadows, interior, exterior shots, flash and no flash. Have also tried Canon and Leica products. Same results.....

Get an 18% reflectance gray card and shoot it in the picture. Photoshop and Lightroom have a setting that adjusts the color temperature against the grey card. I would also recommend shooting in the shade, outside, mid-day.

This is correct, the problem with shooting rose gold is 100% a white balance issue and can be corrected in post processing or with a camera white balance setting.

It's just lighting and white balance. I don't have an everose watch, but if anyone wants to donate...I can create a tutorial lol.

Thanks for the photos! Lots of good looking everose images here.

I consider this to be my best shot of everose. But the sundust dial looks so much better in person than in this image.... this is without a doubt the most difficult watch to photograph..... so often it looks like an all SS watch....

I will try working more with White Balance. Open for further suggestions.

It always looks washed out in my pictures. Really need to have it next to a white metal so you can see the RG in it's true warmth.

There are some pretty stunning pics in this thread. But every time I see pics of pieces in everyone I think to myself about how difficult it is to spot. It almost looks SSy I’ve never seen an ever rose piece in person and wondered how different it would look to the naked eye. Knowing pics often struggle to do some little details justice.
