Unpolished Case Sharpness

I've got a new Rolex 126000 from an AD and noticed that the underside of the case Lugs / side have a "Sharpness" to them. Never noticed this before on other 5 digit new Rolex's from an AD(15200).
Do / did 5 digit rolex's have sharp under cases before they got polished?
My 18238 Daydate doesnt (but it has been polished)

How do we best tell a "Sharp" unpolished case on 5 digits?

Define sharp.

The top of the case generally has a slight chamfer cut along the edge. The bottom of the case generally does not.

Not clear on what you’re describing. Pictures needed. An unpolished case will have sharp lines, despite scratches. A polished case, if not done well, will look “soft” or “doughy”.

Look at the corners of the lugs, for example, especially where the chamfer meets. Should be razor sharp on an unpolished and noticeably less so on a polished watch if you train your eyes to spot.
