This is a perfect example of why exhibition watches are a good thing. Go into an AD, try it on and see how it feels.

I generally like thin watches, but when I tried on the SkyDweller I was surprised at how comfortable it felt for the size. That said, from past experience, you will probably need to simply sell the watch and move on.

I will never buy a watch I can’t try on. I love the SkyD but when I tried it on it was just too big for me unfortunately. Same thing happened with a Zenith. I have a 6.75” wrist.
The Daytona on the other hand was the complete opposite. I never cared for it and told my AD that he didn’t have to be worried about me being ‘one of those guys’ pestering him—until I tried one on. I now own one and am looking to get another…

Me too! I love the sky dweller but was surprised how big it looked on my 6.75in wrist. It was doable if you like oversized watches but I felt like a little kid wearing my Dad's watch. OP you're a big guy. I'm surprised it looks big on you. Post some pics.

I learned to never commit if I can’t take whatever or whoever for a test drive first…

New Rolex Skydweller...Ugh

It’s definitely a substantial watch. The white dial makes it appear bigger than the other colors. I’ve owned a white dial on an oyster and now have a black dial on jubilee; the jubilee feels so much comfortable. I love the heft and presence on my wrist.

That looks right on you. How big is your wrist? I did try a white on. Maybe a darker color would have looked smaller on me...

I owned a black one on the oyster bracelet I absolutely love the watch but felt the same way as you way too big for my 7” wrist wanting to try one on the jubilee to see if it feels any better

How about sending a few pics on your wrist. Jubilee or Oyster?

Thick or thin wrists isn't going to decide how a watch looks on you but that's the first measurement everyone quotes.

5'9" is what counts in your case.

I'm 6'7" and only 30-40 lbs over you but a batman is a toy on me, mainly because right below the watch is my massive hand!

I've been saying this for years. Look at a full length mirror. Wrists shots are the worst (and sometimes even looking at your own wrist) Also, arm type matters. ( limbs that are slim and slender vs thick and stockier). Also, some warches work better with short sleeves and some better with long.

I always thought my 39mm exp 1 looked right but when I saw a photo of myself in short sleeves it looked like ladies jewelery.

They honestly look way too big in many wrist shots, but some people like this look.

It's on the large side for a Rolex but it's not a particularly big or heavy watch compared with some in my collection. Both of mine wear really comfortably also.

To each their own. You won't have any trouble selling it on.

The SkyD is an easy fit for almost all wrist sizes because of its case and lugs curvature.

Bottom is a SkyD which hugs the wrist as opposed to the top pictured Submariner which wears very flat and is less comfortable imho.

The white dial is probably playing some tricks

You spent $15k plus sales tax (assuming from an AD) sight unseen on a product that you now feel like is not even fitting you?!?

As others said - that's why expo models are there for. I really feel it's almost crazy to make a 4 or 5 digit purchase sight unseen...

5"-9" and 185 lbs, I would guess your wrist should be around 7" min.

I have a smaller wrist, but I love my blue Sky D. so much.
