IWC Mercedes

Just saw a couple of articles on this piece. It’s too bad that it’s online only as I’d love to see it in the flesh. The green strap doesn’t do it for me, but it is intriguing on the calf skin. It’s a bit thick and my wrist can’t handle many IWC offerings, but would love to try this one on…

I like it! Think I might pick one up. Would be a fun summer piece.

My thought as well. I’ve learned never to buy a watch without trying it on first and that’s the dilemma with this piece. Fortunately it’s not a ‘limited production’ piece so perhaps they’ll show up in shops at some point.
Really like the looks though!

I ordered one last night. I know it’s not an LE but I don’t think they’re making an unlimited amount. Although I don’t care either way. It’s just a fun piece.

As far as trying it on goes, I agree with you. I’ve tried the SS version on before so I took a flyer. But IWC does have a 30 day return policy so that should cover you in case you don’t like it on wrist.

Good point on return policy. I believe I read about 1000 a year. I will anxiously await your feedback once you get it. Can I ask what your wrist size is and anticipated delivery?

Please post pics when you get it. I’m very interested as well.

My wrist is 7.5-8". For reference, on a Daytona or 41mm Royal Oak, I wear a full bracelet. I should have it on Wednesday!

Thanks…I have a 6.75” wrist so it’s always been difficult for me IWC wise. Will also be curious to see what the 14.25mm height is like…really like this one though

The 41mm case size should be fine with your wrist size. The watch is a little bit thick but not too crazy. It's about the same as a Royal Oak Offshore Diver or the new Tudor Black Bay Pro. And IWC pieces are never thin ... it's just part of the vibe.

No. It comes with the Petronas green rubber strap and black calfskin strap.

huh..looks rather nice, but I'm surprised it's a "pilot" model rather than the usual Ingenieur model

I wish it wasn't a Mercedes collab to be honest. I like the colorway immensely but am very turned off by the branding (albeit subtle) on the caseback.

I agree that part is a little bit odd but aesthetically I like it more.

The is the first automotive collab to enter my collection. Usually an instant turnoff for me. But like you said, it's very subtle.

Watchbox has a YT on this piece and kinda sums it up for me…can’t put my finger on it but it just draws me in. Once I see some wrist shots I’ll make a call size-wise but I’m enamored with it…

As far as I know the case is the same dimensions as the regular steel Pilot Chrono 41. You can try those on in the AD and decide if the size is right for you. And keep in mind these are titanium so they’ll feel super comfortable.

I love these and am very tempted to add one. If the dial was just black and white it would be a slam dunk for me (for me the big draw is the titanium case).

Great idea! Also looking for feedback from the incomings . The Titanium is also a draw for me with a watch this thick…

Thanks for sharing! I was at my AD today and the person I work with is a true watch geek. As soon as I mentioned this piece she lit up and proceeded to show me a pick of 4 of her friends wearing it.
It currently seems to be a pre-order…how long did it take for delivery?

No problem. I ordered May 7th and received the watch on the 13th.

From what I've been told by a friend who called IWC, the next batch should be ready by the end of the summer. So while not a limited edition, it's definitely limited production.

Thanks! I will call them today and stop by the boutique. That would be disappointing as it would be a great summer watch…I guess no different than any other watch I am after

It's definitely different!

First IWC that has piqued my interest in quite awhile...can't tell if I love it or hate it though, haha.

Well I tried the Pilot 41 chrono on yesterday at the AD for size. I love the dial layout, but I’m struggling with the thickness on my 6.75” wrist. I’m used to sub 12mm watches so I’m trying to determine if I can get used to it.

It’s way too thick imho
