Sky Dweller Wait— how long?
Question for those who have recently gotten their SD from an AD… how long after you expressed interest did you get “the call”?

Blue jubilee took a year. Expressed interest as soon as it was released. Not a whale, but I have bought multiple watches from that dealer, including a Patek, plus some jewelry
So based on that, you're looking at minimum 1 year with solid history, no history likely 3-4 and you’ll have to check in every few months Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I put my name down right after the announcement 2017, picked up the Black SS Sky-Dweller in August 2019, so approximately just over 2 year wait.

TT SS is easiest variant to get. I've been offered several OF variants within the past year so I've been under the impression that besides the blue SS version, SkyD are relatively easier to obtain than other models. Could be cost or size that makes the buyer pool smaller

I've been waiting over two years for the blue dial. I've since stated I would take it on either oyster or jubilee.

Six months.
Got a TT white in 2020 on a walk in. On average my AD gets 1 white SS per year, 1 black SS per year, 2 blue SS per year and 1 TT per year. The SS blue is perceived as being the Unicorn because demand is so high, but the reality is that it's the Sky Dweller my AD usually sees the most in consignments. |

Thanks Martin. I was expecting to wait 3-5 years. Not that I'm complaining.

Got my black dial SS in 3 weeks of asking for a SkyD back in Dec 2018. But it was a different time back then, although SkyD SS was still hard to come by.

SS Blue took about 6 months of really asking for it, I did initially express interest in it when it first came out.

Long enough to lose interest, take it from personal experience.

Originally I asked for a gmt Batman or Pepsi on jubilee. 3 months past and I was browsing the Rolex site and saw the skydweller came with a jubilee. So I called my SA and told her I would get a ss black dial or tt black dial.
48 hours later I got a tt skydweller with black dial. Next watch I wanted was a daydate rg olive dial. After a long wait, my ad asked me what other watches I would like since the daydate could take some time. I told her I would take a Pepsi or a Batman…. 24 hours later I got a Pepsi. Moral of the story…… you just never know what they have or how long it will take. Your relationship with your sa makes a big difference also. |

Our local AD said to my friend (who asked about a Sky Dweller) that he's extremely lucky if he'll get the call in 20 years.
