Gmt 3186 hour hand adjustment broke!

I was setting the time by advancing the hour hand and At first the hour hand was clicking then it seemed to stop clicking and now just feels like it turns like smoothly like the minute hand does.

A few hours later I noticed time was off an hour

I tried adjusting the time and found the hour hand doesn’t line up when set to exact hour (hour hand not centered on exact hours 5:00, 6:00 etc it’s positioned like it’s 5:45, 6:45

Now
When advancing the minute hand around and around it seems like the hour hand doesn’t move or moves ever two hours around.

Anyone else had issues? Or sent in for service repair cost?

This is a well-known early 3186 issue. The surprising thing is how long it took to present itself! Have you never serviced the watch before? There was a particularly weak part, forget which, but all RSCs were instructed to change it at servicing whether broken or not. If you’ve had it serviced since the fix was introduced and for some reason it wasn’t applied, perhaps they’ll go back and do it now at no additional charge?

Factory Serviced in august 2014
Paperwork even says “winding setting function not working” maybe it had the same issue back then?
(That’s when I bought it from the original owner).

I haven’t worn it a lot

I'm glad to hear that this is a known problem and that when I have my 116710BLNR serviced that that particular problem will be fixed as part of the service.

It's getting close to service time, anyway.

It may well have been fixed by the time your BLNR was produced. The fix came about well before production stopped, but not sure on the year.
