Has it gotten easier to get pieces from ADs these days? What are perceptions/experiences?

I just walk in and tell the SA what I need & I walk out with a new watch. It's just like going grocery shopping.

Only one? When I walk in and tell the SA what I want I not only walk out with that new watch, but they give me a FREE Rolex as well; buy one get one free.

Unfortunately I’m not considered a “friend of the brand” so I just get the buy one get one 50% off. I do have a coupon that’s going to get me another 25% off on my next purchase so I’m not complaining

I forgot to mention, that women dressed as Angels drop rose-petals in front of my feet as I enter the store so they never actually touch the ground. Also, I am treated to a manicure, pedicure and full-body massage, with aromatherapy as they are filling out the paperwork. More then once, the SA has “accidentally” dropped a third Rolex in the bag as I am leaving, winking as they do it.

Doesn’t everyone else get this treatment?

Let me also add, that rarely to I actually have to GO to the AD to get whatever Rolex I want, usually with a 30-40% discount off MSRP. You see, they actually come to my home. World-class violinists play melodies outside my window as my SA gently knocks at my front door, bowing and holding a pillow in her outstretched hands. Immediately when I open the door six or seven young ladies dressed as cherubs enter my house, clean even nook and cranny while singing pleasant tunes. I am ushered to my lazy-boy where I am massaged, sponge-bathed, and presented with the pillow my SA was holding. In it, is not only the watch that I am buying, but at least one other random model free of charge. The paper work is completed, any adjustments necessary made to the bracelet, and my wrist is moistened with virgin olive oil before the watch is placed on my wrist. One of the Cherubs brushes and flosses my teeth as another applies softened flower pedals all over my body. When everything is finished, they all back out of my house, bowing towards me with their hands clasped together as if in prayer…

Doesn’t everyone get this kind of treatment from their AD?

We literally had this experience a week ago. Not one but two watches purchased.

Took what about 2 years for all this to happen, in general should take less time with the falling market (market meaning all markets not just watches), only time will tell

It really depends where one is at, I think that matters the most.

In bigger more affluent global cities with tourists storming in this summer, I think the demand is going to remain very high for some months and maybe a year or two.

Yea I think this is a huge variable. I am in Southern California and its still hard to get anything here.

I’m in LA. Certainly depends who you are. An in-law of mine is a VVIP and he gets offered five or so watches every month from one of our largest local ADs. He’s turning them all down. In fact he has a lot of his collection up for sale. He’s keeping a few heavy hitters, but he’s trying to cut his losses asap, before the “storm” hits. He could easily afford to keep buying like it’s 2021, but he doesn’t want to be a bag holder.

I’m sure he’s not alone. I think this will translate to watches in the cases again in a few months.

My Ad told me he is currently getting 15 calls a week for GMT's and 30 calls a week for Daytona's. Getting easier for these watches, I don't think so.

Definitely getting easier, especially once the recession takes full swing, people are rapidly offloading inventory to reduce their cost basis per watch.
