126719BLRO on jubilee?

Greetings
I’m due to receive a meteorite in the next 2-3 months. I’m pretty rough on my watches so I’m Debating on getting stainless bracelets (jubilee and oyster) to switch the gold bracelet out.

Will the SS jubilee and oyster bracelets from the 126710BLRO fit this or will I need to modify anything?
I realize I’m creating a frankenwatch (please don’t flame me!) but I figure this could be two watches in one (with jubilee and the oyster ) and not be as heavy by using the stainless bracelet instead of the white gold.
Thanks in advance!

They put white gold bezels on all ss fluted models so probably not a big deal. That said, for the price of two bracelets why not get a SS BLRO to wear if you’re worried about the white gold Pepsi? I’d just wear the watch as is. Seems like a shame to spend for a full white gold watch and then hide the bracelet. Also, you’ll likely get wear on the watch head and I’d prefer an evenly worn watch.

My yellow gold oyster bracelet isn’t wearing badly. I’m definitely not hard on watches, but certainly do not baby them.

The ss brackets will be like 4 k tops. And I think that’s way high. If I could get a ss blro for anywhere near that price, I love your idea!

Not sure two OEM bracelets can be found for a combined 4k usd if that’s your plan. If you are getting the wg Pepsi from an AD I’d think they could swing a SS Pepsi your way. Anyways, I think price delta between two ss oem bracelets and a ss Pepsi at msrp (which already has one of the bracelets you’d be buying) wouldn’t be that large (maybe less than 5k) considering you get a second Pepsi. If grey, my point doesn’t make sense.

Are you purchasing from AD? How long was your wait? Not sure on the fitment but I see how that bracelet change would benefit your lifestyle.

I agree.....I think you will be able to see the differences in the 2 metals right away. Might look kind of weird? I prefer bracelets myself....but how about a blue Rubber B strap? I've seen those on BLRO's and they look decent. I really don't like NATO straps at all, but if you do, that also could be an option?

Thanks for the responses, guys.
NATO straps do nothing for me either !
There may be a slight metal color difference but my reasoning is that since the bezel is colored and the meteorite will blow everyone’s mind away, I can’t imagine it will be that noticeable. Also , my dainty wrists would rather something lighter!

As far as the other question from the other poster - yes to AD. I’ve been waiting almost two years. I’ve been next on the actual list for 13 months after the last delivery was made to the original guy on the list.

It’s your watch, no need to care for others think. It’s better to put only oyster bracelet (not jubilee), only watch enthusiast that can tell the different between WG and SS, most people cannot tell from the distance.

I have both WG GMT meteorite dial and Pepsi, most people think that they all are SS.

don't really see the point of getting a gold watch just to put a steel bracelet on it but obviously it's your watch. i would just leave it as is and enjoy it

also the difference of wg is very noticeable when it's right next to steel

Definitely you’d notice. Look at Grants picture above. White gold has a warmth and luster, an unmistakable hue.

It’s close enough for Rolex to put both together. Not saying there’s no difference but I’ve yet to see someone tell a poster not to get a ss fluted watch because the bezel and case material don’t match.

My experience:

Left = Stainless. Right = White Gold.

It would be noticeable and would bother me.

YMMV.

So I had a Pepsi on jubilee. And when offered the chance to get officially on the meteorite list, I sold the Pepsi to bobs watches to help fund the eventually arriving meteorite (never imagined this would be over a year but it’s far from a travesty!). I bought the Pepsi from a different dealer (that is no longer an AD) so I didn’t piss anyone off by selling the SS to begin funding the meteorite. Obviously left money on the table (sold 18 months ago) but I’m more than fine with it. No one has a crystal ball while living in the present.
I figured the SS bracelets would be less than 2 k each since they’re sourced directly from an AD. But this could be ignorance talking since I don’t know the price yet.
And to answe another question - I am definitely on the list because I am a very good, long standing customer of this dealer that has bought many models and brands - and only a handful are hot, hard to get watches. So they know I’m an enthusiast, not a flipper and I’ve developed a great friendship with the manager and subsequently, owner of the store. Yes, that friendship began because Of commerce but it evolved into a genuine relationship over the past 8 years. Thanks for the feedback.
To reiterate - style aside, the consensus is that the stainless bracelets can fit on the white gold without any issue, yes?

thinking outside the box....why not source a platinum oyster bracelet??
much more durable than ss.....scratches buff right out with no loss of material.

You will damage the watch case since Steel is harder. Don’t do this

This seems like the issue to me. It’s like how stainless steel spring bars aren’t recommended in gold watches and gold watches come with gold plated spring bars. The short term change isn’t a big deal but long term the steel spring bar can mess up then hole.

I could only imagine it would be much worse with a steel bracelet where there’s more tension on those end links to the gold case. Over time I wonder if there would be wear on the case. Maybe or maybe not, but that would concern me enough to be hesitant to do it.

With 2 tone the gold is the center link it does not move and there is no friction .
By putting a stainless steel bracelet, on a gold case the movement t of the bracelet could cause premature rubbing and Wear on the case. This is the reason if you wear 18ct gold rings the one next to it should not be a harder 9ct gold as it will cause the 18ct to wear thin due to rubbing

Hello this is sort of the reason why I probably never get a gold rolex. It metal must be so easy to scratch and can totally understand why you would want to swap the bracelet.

The metals have different hues. SS is much brighter where as WG is more toned down and subdued. Also the weight of WG is so good. Part of what makes it so special.
Whatever makes you happy. Check with your AD.

As others have said you will notice the colour difference depicted in the last photo very well compared to the steel GMT.

Agree with the other comment about no point buying a gold watch and putting a steel bracelet on it.

Jubilee also won’t support the weight of the gold watch very well, it might even tire the bracelet out faster.

Stupid idea on every level :)

Very interesting, seeing that Rolex already has a solid YG Jubilee and Super Jubilee. I feel it’s just a matter of time especially with the now meteorite dials on the WG GMT that we see a WG Jubilee at some point in the near future. What do you all think?

wear as intended and enjoy,
battle scars make them unique and many have a story behind them. worse comes to worst a nice polish at service time will wipe all the imperfections away
