3 Watch Collection - Requesting Input

If you were going for the 3 watch collection, air/land/sea, and you had air and land covered with a BLNR and Hesalite Speedy, what are your recommendations for the sea watch IF it's not an Omega or Rolex model?

A SeaQ or a 40mm LE fifty fathoms.

I'd go seaq or Grand Seiko. Depends on the budget too. I said in the other thread that the new superocean is expensive but I really liked it when I saw it . I like my aquaracer night diver too, if you're trying to keep costs lower.

How does a Moonwatch cover land? Clearly that should be an Air King :)

For sea I agree the pic is the fifty fathoms or possibly a Panerai luminor.

Aquanaut. But some diversity in metal would be nice. Maybe a BB58 Bronze.

There are other brands that make a dive watch besides Rolex and Omega?

Just kidding.

I’d probably go with the Panerai Submersible, but seriously I’m not sure why you’d rule out a Submariner or a Seamaster.

The whole "air/land/sea" theme is extremely over played and unoriginal. Your BLNR will handle water just fine, AND it already looks like any other Rolex diver. If you are actually diving >100m in real life (e.g. professionally) then you will be strapping a computer to your wrist and other safety gear.

IMO, diversify your 3 pieces by way of style, add a dress piece, maybe something yellow gold. Something for special occasions. Then you have a nice everyday watch (speedy) and a great sport model (BLNR) to round things out.

Agree that the air/land/sea thing is over playe'd and makes little sense. When I fly myself, for example, a chrono may come in handy but I don't need a GMT.

More generally, all I really need is 3 watches - a sports watch, a dress watch, and a beater for when the going gets rough. This is where I have happily been at for some time.

If I was diving I might add a diver as recommended above but I am not. My sports watch is good for 120m which is plenty for swimming, snorkeling, and boating/sailing.
