First Vacheron
Finally got the call and picked up my first VC. I went with the overseas dual time with the steel dial, which I actually preferred to the Blue and black, despite being in less demand.
I’m super happy with the bracelet options, and the finishing. Only surprise is how noisy the rotor is, and how light it is on the wrist. The rotor is far louder than my AP 26331 and any Rolex in the lineup. Is that normal? Here’s a few wrist shots for posterity.. |

Congrats mate. Beautiful piece. Yes the rotor is particularly noisy compared to other watches - but its perfectly normal. Wear it in good health!

Thanks so much guys!! I’m truly excited to have this one.. I feel like it fills a beautiful niche in a collection where it’s not overly recognizable to the non-WIS, but is still iconic enough. I love it!

First Vacheron
Congrats! I echo the "loud" rotor noise, I believe it is due to the ceramic rotor bearings.

Congrats on your new VC - I have the 7900V in black and adore it as the perfect daily!
My rotor is also loud and as noted above, believe it is due to the ceramic rotor bearings (few youtube reviews touch on this). I enjoy mine most on the rubber and savour the bracelet for special occasions edit: if not already, be sure to register the watch on VC The Hour CLub website to extend the warranty to 8 years :) |

Welcome to the club!
I chose the same one for my first VC. Over a year in and i still look forward to wearing it whenever it has a turn in the rotation. Enjoy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Funny you say that, I was just in Germany to see Metallica/5FDP, and also shoot A LOT, so my ears are abysmal lol Truth be told I “feel” the right movement more than I hear it, if that makes sense. 🤘

the rotor is louder, and spins much faster, similar to a Patek. It's normal.

Congrats! The 7900V is my ideal next watch and having just recently bought a 1921, have hopes that I'll have a shot in the next year or so. The only thing I'm concerned about is how thick it supposedly wears. Any comfort issues with that?

None at all… on my wrist it wears a little smaller than a 41mm RO chrono, and pretty similarly to a GMT master II. It’s a fantastic size, and it easily slipped under my cuff today.

Congrats!
Just got my first VC overseas as well. Actually my first mechanical watch. Love the finish and that understated luxury this watch exudes, as well as the history the brand carries. |

The dual time in all versions is just a stunner! It's rare I like a gmt more than a chrono...and with VC I def love the dual time!
