Ok it’s been a while but I want a new watch

Platinum day date fluted bezel.

This is the f****** problem when you get into PM Watches they just get more and more expensive!

Not sure when I’ll make this happen but it will happen :)

More consolidation on the way :)

Haha I wonder if I should add one myself.

But then I think about the price and all the other toys that I want and tell myself maybe later, much later.

For me, it’s not PM watches. its just watches. From my Casio, Timex, Seiko, and of course Rolex.

Gosh Jay don't know what to say. But hey you will figure it out. As far as the car go's I would have figured you owned a high-end car. They are cool for a while but for me when you get older the nice one's are always a bitch to get in and out of.

You and me both!!!

And also the new Platinum DD. I’ve been searching every site via Chrono24, Moda, here, every Grey seller, website trying to find one. Not saying I’d pull the trigger per se but point being there are NONE to be found. Guessing Rolex is pushing out as many of the older bezels as possible before doing so.

Being I can’t get/do a 228236 I’m gonna settle for something that’s a small fraction of the price. One you kinda pushed me in to

In all seriousness thanks brother.

I want one too, but would likely have to consolidate as well! Trade a couple stainless for a platinum sounds good.

I came close to snagging the platinum back before the run up. It's like 2 lbs and fits like a glove. I tried the new one on at the trunk show this year. Amazing piece.

I consolidated a few to add this PT. Actually I wanted the smooth bezel Roman before they disappeared so pulled the trigger recently. It fits like a glove, most comfortable watch I own, as bracelet just lays so nicely.

My dude agrees with me!

Looks great! Are you wearing it often? Does the weight bother you? Anyone gotten the fluted bezel?

Thanks! I wear it daily and it’s very comfortable. It sits low and weight distributed evenly around the bracelet. It’s about 250g but feels more comfortable and less noticeable than my 205g DSSD as that’s more top heavy. It really is a great daily watch. I like the fluted bezel as well and had on my Sky D, but like the more low key and casual look of smooth.

I believe it to be in the Top 3 Rolex watches … 1,2,3 depending on your tastes.

I would put a Platinum Daytona, and a Gold Daytona 116518 in the mix.

I would agree on the top three. Just have seen very many either on chrono or in forums. Guessing they are rolling out the fluted bezels new releases out slow.

Daydate platinum is one of the best watches of all time imo. It could be my one and only if I had to choose. Do it!

Yes it is…

Omg how I’d like to add one to the lineup but my other PM references will have to do. Too many other life goals atm. Maybe one day

Starting to feel the same way, just selling everything and getting The One that, comes to think of it, I always wanted: the DayDate. It is like vintage Rolls-Royce’s, that and the rest….

It sure looks awesome but I am curious how do you feel putting that much coin into a single piece?
At retail the PT DD is easily equal to two PM pieces or 1 PM and 3 SS.

Plat DD is 63k. Roughly 20k over any other PM DD, so like 1 1/2 PM pieces lol

Yeah indeed, i just double checked the prices in my part of the world.
For some reason I thought it was in the 80K range.
