No list, no wait, no games and 55% off.

Firs let me say Rolex makes a great watch, that's all I have to say about that.

I just bought a Blancpain- Villeret Quantième Complet 8 Jours . I bought it from an online seller and with coupons and other offer I paid 55% off MSRP. The watch was brand new in box (box weighs 13 pounds), with all papers-full set.

The watch is truly Haute Horology. There are other watches in the world besides the flipper's choice. Especially if one likes astrological time keepers.

Congrats! Some great values in Blancpain which hasn't been hit by the hype stick but has has great finishing quality for the price. I'm hunting a neo vintage piece myself....

I only have one blancpain...the LE air command and freakin love it...I wear it a fair bit.

Blancpain def doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Congrats, you'll rarely if ever see another in the wild! Love the character of the watch.

Thank you for the kind words. Other than the Fifty Fathoms Blancpain is not well known. I'm a big Swatch fan-boy and am amazed at the number of Haute Horology wrist watches they produce. Blancpain offers a half million dollar minute repeater. My modestly price watch has hidden features only the wearer will appreciate. One feature can save the watch from damage; I don't know of any other watches that have it. The day, date, month and moon phase can be changed at any time without damage.

I stumbled on Jaquet Droz watches. This is another Swatch, who knew.
If I were a rich man I would get a couple of these in different species. Click on the video to see what a wrist watch can do. It puts the Haute in Horology. Flick Flack and Haute Horology, perfect together.

I was going to get an Ultra Deep but I would have had to pay MSRP, never pay retail. I could dive down 3.7 miles but might not have enough breath to make it back so an Ultra Deep really isn't practical.

I can wear this watch every day. Rappers do not spit bars about Blancpain.
It is understated old money so I'm unlikely to get jacked when out in public. It was getting 55% off MSRP that was an offer I couldn't refuse.

Great looking watch. Congrats!

99% of watches fall in this category to be sure. The hype is chasing a dozen or fewer models out of thousands. Glashutte, Lange, GP, Omega, Breguet, Bremont, Cartier, JLC, Panerai etc all offer tremendous value especially in the reseller market.

Piaget watches are also extremely cheap secondhand.

The gracefully curved date hand is superb. The movement looks like same set-up that many brands use for a triple date.

Yet, Blancpain solves the number one drawback of “too many hands” confusion that the other brands ignore.

Lovely.

Thank you.
The movement is an in-house Caliber 6639. It has three barrels that give it an 8 day power reserve. That movement adds 39% to MSRP over the same caliber with a 72 hour power reserve. It has over 100 more parts. I don’t need 8 days between windings, I have a winder, but that watch was the only choice with moon time.

It was an impulse buy; my coupon clock was running out. They show it on the web page. Not a boutique experience. I didn’t know what grand feu enamel was yesterday. Now I know my dial will look the same 200 years from now because of it.

What is interesting is all Swatch brands use the same hair spring. A hair spring Swatch developed with Rolex and Patek Philipp. Swatch can play with the big boys. I’m a big Swatch fan-boy.
