Trade Batman for a Pepsi?

I have a mint 116710 Blnr and my buddy has a 2021 126710 blro on oyster. He said he likes my Batman and would trade if I added $4k. What do you all think of this deal? FYI I like them both but I do like the Pepsi on oyster a little more. I would be adding the new moment and power reserve plus 4 years of warranty.

Fair deal or pass?

I think it's a good trade win-win for your both if you are both into it.

I wouldn’t take that… but I prefer the BLNR to the BLRO.

The deal seems fair enough, so if you prefer the BLRO - go for it

Really like the Pepsi on Oyster, only the Hulk is my preferred SS so I would go for it.

4k on top of BLNR sounds quite high to me. IMHO it just doesn't worth the "like BLRO better". But it is your decision whether it is worth 4k or not.

I agree. A premium for the newer movement should get a premium but $4,000 sounds like too much. But then again, I prefer the BLNR to the BLRO. If it’s worth it to you, go for it. Both watches should retain solid value if the money is an issue.

Sounds good. Much prefer the Oyster than Jubilee as a bracelet on any Rolex, especially on a Pepsi.

Nope. Not even an even money trade. Pepsi was the original GMT Master.

Spot on.
Also $4k for watches that cost the same? Ok

If you’re happier with the Pepsi, I’d do it.

No, just no. Would rather have the Batman. And certainly not with 4k boot money. I would also prefer the older movement Vs. the new.

Just no freaking way.

I’d do it if the Pepsi was on a jubilee.

Trade Batman for a Pepsi?

I wouldn’t do it. Sell the BLNR at market price then go pick a BLRO up from an AD and pocket the change.

I had 3 GMTs at some point: BLNR, TT CHNR and BLRO.
I only have the BLRO now, it's the most iconic GMT watch imho.

The deal is fair, but I'd still try to get BLRO new from an AD.

I think it would be a fair deal, but more like 3K instead of 4k.

Do not add $4k to get a Pepsi. That is insane.

I've had both a BLNR and a BLRO, and all I have to say on this topic is that I still own the BLNR but don't own the BLRO any longer.

MARP to MSRP, there was less than $1k difference. That’s all what you should pay of you like the BLRO more

Would he going from a 116 to a 126. At market price I think the market value is about 4k difference. If it was a 126 and 126 the margin would definitely be smaller. 1-2k for sure.
