Heading To Toronto
I am heading to Toronto tomorrow for a few days. I actually have a pretty busy schedule but if I am able to get in some sites, what are a few must see places or nice places to eat? Do they have casinos in Toronto?
Thanks! |

No Casinos, the ones we have are located in Niagara Falls, Casino Rama in Orillia and the Great Blue Heron located NE of Toronto in Port Perry.
All of these Casinos are minimum 1 hour drive from Toronto. There is a AD located on Bloor St West Called RDV or Royal de Versailles located at 101 Bloor st west. Food now lets see, King St West by the Holiday Inn downtown has a row of great restaurants, right by the entertainment district, Greektown on the Danforth is really good, and for Steak theres Hy's, Ruth Chris and a local Canadian one The Keg. |

In or about Niagara Falls:
And the following I got from the internet for Toronto specifics: When it comes to vacation hot spots few people think of Toronto, but with all that there is to see and do in this wonderful city, it won't be long before it's considered one of the best vacation destinations in the world. Before you decide on another hot spot to take this year's trip, take a look at some of the incredible things that the city of Toronto has to offer, these are some of the 'can't miss' spots to visit on your vacation: The Waterfront Though the Toronto Harbor is still being developed, it's easily one of the brightest spots in the city. You could spend a day (or) night aboard one of Toronto Harbor's many amazing cruises. Depending on the time of year you decide to visit, you may be able to catch one of the holiday themed cruises, like a costume party at Halloween or an incredible fireworks display for Independence Day, or all through the year romantic, semi-private dinner cruises is available with attentive staffs and world class cuisine. It's not just on the water that you can have fun either; there are all types of interesting and exciting ventures around the harbor. You can spend your time shopping at a number of quaint specialty and antique shops; you can sit and relax with a gourmet coffee at quiet café or you can enjoy a five star meal from a world class chef. The Zoo With more than five thousand animals to see and incredible interactive displays, the Toronto Zoo is one of the top animal education and entertainment destinations in North America. The Toronto Zoo is an incredibly entertaining experience for the entire family, which makes it an absolute must for vacations. The CN Tower The CN Tower features the world's tallest observation deck and a one of a kind experience for diners in the rotating restaurant. There's a reason this landmark gets in excess of two million visitors a year, it has four observation decks from which you can get four different majestic vantage points of the beautiful city. The CN Tower could be the most recognizable landmark in Canada and with how centrally located, an easy to access it is right in the center of downtown Toronto , there is no reason at all to miss it on a vacation to Canada. The Ontario Science Centre This is not only the best interactive museum in all of Canada; it's probably the best interactive museum in the entire world. You could literally spend your entire week vacation in the Ontario Science Centre and still not get to experience everything this wonderland of learning has to offer. The Eaton Centre If shopping is your passion, the Eaton Centre absolutely can't be missed. The Eaton Centre is packed with more than three hundred stores and eateries and houses almost twenty cinemas and a luxury hotel. Just as the Science Centre is arguably the best interactive museum in the world, the Eaton Centre is arguably the world's best shopping experience. There are truly so many amazing things that you can do in the city of Toronto, that you would be amiss in trying to sum up the experience in just a few 'must see' listings. There are sports teams, events, fine dining, great shopping and every thing else you would ever expect from a great place to get away. The things listed above are worth traveling to Toronto for, for a vacation but there is so much more to see, do and experience that this wonderful city should be on the top of anyone's list for a vacation destination. Must see places, CN Tower, Queen St go east from Bathurst. Skydome check out a ball game, Yorkville for shopping, entertainment district for clubing, check out a show like Sound of music etc, it's put on by Mirvish productions.
Bloor St west of Yonge St for shopping, Yorkdale is also a trendy shopping mall. The city workers are on strike so a trip to the Toronto island is beautiful in the summer. I've lived my whole life in Toronto, it's friendly, clean and most of all big. |

I am going to Toronto next week, this will be my second trip to Toronto this year. I was up there back in February, the weather will be much warmer this time
Hoping to make a trip down to the falls since a couple of my co-workers have never been to the falls. Have a great time in Toronto, post some pictures of your visit and let us know what you seen/did! -Frankie |

If you're a fan of the NHL, the Hall of Fame is in Toronto
